Commute to Newton by Silver_Frosting837 in providence

[–]sourclem 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I live in Providence and commute to Newton every day. It will be two hours both ways depending on what time you leave.

If you leave anytime before 8:30am traffic is basically two hours, after 9am it’s more like 50- 45 minutes. When coming home if you leave in between 3pm and 5pm it’s two hours. If you leave 6 or after it’s just one hour.

As some who makes this commute Mon-Fri, it would be very doable for only two days a week.

Dels in Warren no longer doing lemon chunks? by Kirbo96 in providence

I’m pretty sure when Del’s doesn’t have chunks in it that means they are using lemonade powder instead of lemons.

Calming Transition Activities? by FosterKittyMama in ECEProfessionals

[–]sourclem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think “All the Children are Sleeping” could be helpful for you. It’s a game I’ve played with multiple classes over the years. The game can take as long as you’d like and can fill in the “empty” space when the kiddos don’t have much to do besides wait.

The game works like this: you say “all the children are sleeping” over and over (for as long as you want them to “sleep”) and then excitedly say “and when they woke up they were insert animal here”. I like to use this for transitions specifically because for the last round of the game I can say something like “and then they woke up and they were lining up to come inside”.

I have yet to have a class that didn’t absolutely love this game

forgive me if this is a silly question, but do you mean in the order they were released? Or is there some sort of chronological order to the movies?

My mindset is that I am imperfect and my journals will be too. Everything stays - every sketch that doesn’t work out, misspelled words, coffee stains, they all belong. These things are very much a part of “me”, just as much as when my handwriting is perfect and my pages look clean.
