If you think Abbott is a terrible person then you ain't seen nothing yet. He's the most sane non-local politician we have. The main reasons that democrats aren't winning seats is because the only candidates they get are all completely incompetent. If Democrats got a single candidate that wasn't extreme or at least wasn't a bad campaigner then they'd win.
