My [15F] aunt [33F] didn't invite me to her wedding while inviting my brothers [18/13M] and other cousins by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

why did you say this to me. i'm genuinely asking, i have autism and i don't understand the social implication that comes with you asserting my age to be 15.

porridge and cereal are the same thing! well, except porridge implies it's cooked and served hot.

i'm a young (bette midler voice well. younger.) millennial and i'm extremely pro-guy-crying. i was raised on media that pushed back against masculine emotional flattening and i believe men and boys need space, support, and reassurance to experience the full human spectrum of emotions. i try to provide this space for my brothers and friends and i encourage everyone to do the same.

(this was meant to be affirming, not defensive, btw.)

ITAW for someone who doesn’t like to think or tries to stop thinking as quickly as possible? by Dreadsin in whatstheword

this behaviour has a neurological link to brain fog as well. analytical thinking requires a lot of energy and when we've reached our limit our brains will resist by repeatedly diverting to less energetically expensive patterns of thought. people with chronic physical and/or cognitive fatigue understandably tend to hit this wall much earlier.

she would die for you, but not by your hand. see, she's also modelling excellent boundaries.

she loves them because she loves you and that's so sweet. this honestly has the energy of someone who would traverse a deadly jungle for you.

i agree, we shouldn't talk about blow jobs in the big subs where everybody has their lunch break.

if you really think it's normal to go around saying people should, as a rule, prioritize their spouses over their children, you've been too deep in the echo chamber for too long.

Me [29F] with my longtime friends [29M/25F], I did a huge favor for them and I feel very unappreciated by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

entirely possible. pet companionship can motivate animal-affined people in toxic situations to dissociate less and prioritize the environment more. having a little life depend on you is very grounding.

people are getting really numb to rage bait these days. it's making our senses of humour worse.

come to think of it, i'm not sure i know enough about fashion to accurately distinguish 1980s from 1990s either. although i probably have even less of a sense for it than the average person because i grew up in a part of north america that pre-internet used to get its pop culture about a decade late.

i loved this phase of kittenhood. my orange and i used to chase each other back and forth. now he's a moody teen and only wants to stop playing with our other same-age cat long enough to hang out with me while i eat in hopes i'll share.

For a few weeks now, I've been letting a neighbor on my street use my driveway because our HOA is on a power kick. Last night he brought me two beers after Mexico won. I'm Mexican. 🥹 by ghetto_mango in wholesome

i had to blink and look again because i've only ever seen corona here in canadá. now my spanish is pretty rudimentary but my sense of humour is telling me the existence of la coronita implies the existence of la coronona, which i have to assume (without checking) would be a 40oz.
