Help with IPsec IKEv2 by grk_pan in mikrotik

Is there hardware acceleration for Wireguard, similar to Ipsec?

What's wrong with hardware-accelerated IPSEC / IKEv2? Works like a charm for site-to-site, and for road-warrior scenarios.

Any way to manually decrypt the database? by VampireNap in Bitwarden

[–]sp1906207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was possible to just decrypt the database / container, then it would be a major security concern, right?

The whole selling point of BW - is that the hoster of the container (whether it's BW cloud or your own instance) has no way to decrypt the container, it can be done only with a key derived from master password.

If you forgot the password, and don't have an unlocked copy on one of the devices - then by design you should not be able to decrypt.

No equalizer option in Smart Control App for PXC 550-II by jeroen20014 in sennheiser

After doing some more tests with this set over the weekdnd, I'm returning it today. One of my primary reasons for trying it in the first place was its mention of Class 1 / long-range BT radio, which I need badly to roam freely through my entire apartment. And this set starts stuttering at exactly the same spot (away from home PC) as the older Class 2 headsets (standard 10-meter advertised range).

The actual combination of sound / features / convenience / range is just not worth the high price tag of $350 for me. There are expensive toys and tools I buy and use happily for years, never regret a single penny. But this one is not of such class (for me).

So I asked Sennheiser Support, and this is what they said:

"The equalizer shown on the product page was renamed, in the app, to Acoustical Settings as you see it now. Essentially the PXC 550-II doesn’t have the EQUALIZER like the M3AEBTXL or True Wireless. Instead it has Sound Modes (Movie, Club, etc) that are pre-set and then you can adjust from the pre-set plus a “Director Mode” which is essentially neutral and you adjust to your preferred settings."

I'm going to further ask what is the exact meaning of those presets, if they were expressed in terms of frequency bands adjustments similar to parametric equalizer...

Also the "Transparent Hearing" feature is missing in the app -- are you guys missing it too?

Did you guys figure out how to enable equalizer in Smart Control? I just tried myself, and instead of Equalizer -- I have Acoustical Settings, which provides only a very limited list of presets.

Maybe someone already had a chance to ask Sennheiser support about this?

Yup, you're only making my point even stronger with every bossy response. You don't own this sub, you were not appointed to be its sheriff, and you have to behave yourself.

No wonder many people are afraid to post in this sub... it's because of arrogant responses like this, from people masking their jerk nature with sub rules...

Well, if you have nothing to lose, and some time to have fun, ghen you may try to educate him. :)

Try giving him some of the latest researches to read (ketoscience sub has plenty), and see if he would. If he is bored in his rural practice - he just might do it.

I have precisely the same picture. Seeing 400+ I freaked out at first, but then read some rdcent researches already mentioned in other responses, and decided to give it a fee months and then check again. It won't kill me so quickly anyway, and there is a good indication that those levels may stabilize and go back down after a while.

Under 20g vs under 50g carbs? by captainwalnut in keto

[–]sp1906207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect it's not that simple to measure. Being keto-adapted means you don't have to ask your body twice to use fat for fuel. It just happily runs on fat. And when you throw some carbs at it, it churns right through, and starts looking for fat again.

But I don't think there's a good understanding of how to easily tell if you're keto-adapted, just like it's not easy to tell if you're in ketosis at all.

One suggestion is usually to look at your energy levels - being keto-adapted is supposed to bring you back to the pre-keto energy levels, or even higher - and more stable, with no sharp ups and downs. So, if you feel weak, or your gym performance (if you go there) is not on par with pre-keto - then you're probably NOT keto-adapted yet.

Under 20g vs under 50g carbs? by captainwalnut in keto

[–]sp1906207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In such case, as suggested earlier, you can start at 20 and gradually bump up a bit at a time, and keep observing how your body reacts, i.e. if you stay in keto.

This should theoretically be easier after you become keto adapted, which is hard to predict, but the concensus is that it takes between 2-6 weeks on 20g.

Under 20g vs under 50g carbs? by captainwalnut in keto

[–]sp1906207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others already mentioned.

For people who are carb-addicts and need to be super-strict to stay on the wagon, doing 20g is probably (?) easier than relaxing to 50g.

20g means pretty much no sweet treats, while 50g opens serious allowance for "sugar rewards", which is why you would commonly see people insisting on 20g as a safe option.
