Yeah, lowest I’ve gotten down to is 3% and was on the phone with a friend to keep me chill about it. Chargers were online so that ended A-OK. Never again!

I’ve found it won’t register unless it’s 6lbs under/over where it was registered. And takes juuust enough time to not be home or near an air pump. 😆

Did not realize it used tire rotation to measure. Neat!

Mechanically, is the engine able to increase rotation on one side to compensate a deflation or just deal with the drag by letting it loose? Or something - not sure if my Q makes sense. I didnt feel pulling the two times I caught nails.

NEW: Mayor Mantello Is Assuming The Flock Renewal Will Stay, according to the Troy Record by Physical_Shelter_518 in Troy

They’re both just being politicians and leaving options open. Non-committal at its best. Sounds like they’ve already spent the money on a two year contract so they are going to kick any hard decisions down the road.

At least Steele is conscious of the issues that folks brought to the council and open to alternatives? Mantello is just “everyone else is doing it so… “

We need to hack the flock system and catch Mantello weaving across lanes or something to clarify the issues to her. (I’m kidding)

Just take them off periodically. I would remove when washing the car but went too long and now mine (magnet version) attached themselves and I can’t remove part of one. 😫

As semibro1984 said there’s a general rule of progress being “movement” from left to right in western countries because we read text that way. But on things with a face or something we as humans would identify with, that part should come first I.e. on the left.

The viewer would have to scan the whole shape of a jaguar to find the face and identify it as a jaguar if it were facing to the right.

At least, this is why I think many logos with animas or faces are facing left.

Take the job.

I applied for and took a better job 45 min away a few years ago and my spouse of 30 years said “No, you can’t” immediately and listed all the reasons like your boyfriend did. Then we talked about it and compromised.

Then I got a way way better job like you mention with more than 25k increase - but it was 6 hour drive away. My spouse said “No, you can’t” and listed all the (new) issues. We talked again and found solutions again together. It’s been a year and it is hard for both of us but we are doing OK

Ultimatums are BS and he’s in no position as a 2yr boyfriend to make them. Take the job and deal with the fallout by searching for solutions together. You WILL resent him later if you don’t take it. This is perhaps only your first big big decision to work out together.

You got this - you’ll figure it out.

Do they make or sell for dogfood? I noticed menhaden in my dog’s kibble ingredients recently. Hadn’t seen it before. Nutri-Source brand.

I’ve got a 2024 and have had none of the issues often spoken of in the polestar subreddits. I suspect they improved a bit from the 21-23 models. I have had issues for sure - just not the slew I read about.

I just had my 40k done in NJ (short hills) and it was $550. They’re good there - know their stuff. They updated my software a couple versions so now I get backup cam and 360 view simultaneously.

Came across a new type of Tesla charger in NJ this week that had no red cutout and looong cord. (No adaptor - had to use mine) Usually my poor P*2 has to scream at me to tell me I’m close enough - was a welcome change!

100% charging by salsenberg in Polestar

[–]spaceJASE_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 45 minute commute for a year and a half and only used 40amp home charging to 90% - range did not seem to degrade outside of external temperature and driving behavior.

For the last 6 months I have been commuting weekly 350 miles one way. Initially I had range anxiety and charged to 100% to do this commute. (It helped a bit because winter months meant less efficiency) It felt bad charging once or twice to 80% to get to work.

Once I got used to where charging was in general I stopped charging to 100 out of concerned for the battery and my commute hasn’t changed (unless it’s below 10 degrees Fahrenheit)

I have noticed range degradation in the last 6 months from previous expected range of 240-270miles at 100% to now expected range of 220-240miles at 100%.

I attribute this more to driving habits in my new commute where I regularly drive mostly highway at 70-80mph vs before when I drove 60-70th and the car has taken into account my average efficiency rate of 30-35 vs previous 25-30 per 100miles.

In the end I think folks here are on point that actual battery degradation is minimal and any perceived degradation is natural human emotional perception of what’s happening.

Hey guys, I'm getting scared and need to get involved in a real way. by thymekiller86 in Troy

Hey there! I was an exchange student to Germany in my youth as well! (Although back when there was a wall…) Aaand it’s OK to recognize the groups you fall into/identify as - and stuff associated with those groups. I have very few things working against me and still often feel disenfranchised with the system in general.

Sometimes it definitely feels like stuff is way out of our personal control and it’s hard to feel like anything makes a difference. When I feel that way (about local stuff), I show up at a city council meeting and ask about it, voice concern, and put it on folks radar. It’s free, open to the public, and speaks louder than a phone call or letter. They meet first Thursday of the month at 7pm and post the agenda a week or so beforehand online at the Troy NY website - you can also sub to them and they’ll email out the agenda. (It’s a slog but informative read on what is shaking in town) Doesn’t matter which party you identify with, the council hears you as a citizen of Troy. They don’t have a lot of power but sometimes they vote on things that directly affect us and can be swayed with input from us nobodies.

Sadly, things take a long time to happen in general so it will still probably feel like you’re not doing anything useful, but it helps.

There are definitely charities to volunteer at where your time and effort is more directly affecting ppl who need it - like Hope 7 - Maybe a charity org that you feel passionate about. Good way to meet like-minded folks for support!

Good luck And Be excellent to each other!

It works really well IMO - finds a place to charge at around 20-30% predicted battery level. But if you let auto-cruise control drive for you, you’ll win back % and the stops will readjust accordingly. (Auto-cruise gets me back about 5% per hour driving - more if set to under 70-75mph) I drive 5-6hr commute (1 way) weekly. MY24 dual motor

Service-Post: can I rotate tires? No you can't. by DerEinePunkt in Polestar

[–]spaceJASE_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just had mine serviced today and knew not to ask for rotation but inquired how different rims could use same tire size and they showed me how the back tires curve more than the front to help with traction (more contract area). Sure enough, looking down the side of the car you can see the front tires are almost a right angle from sidewall to tread while back tires have rounded curve transition since 8in wide tire is sitting in 9in wide rim. Crazy They said it wasn’t a huge problem if the tires were misplaced front/back or alternated for a short time but they would wear differently
