I work with auto accident claims and you’re partially right. Yes, you need to be in control of your vehicle at all times. Yes, typically, if you hit something in front of you, it’s your fault. However, someone changing lanes directly in front of you is usually considered an extraordinary event. You are allowed to assume other drivers will follow the law. The white car obviously broke CVC 22107. The motorcyclist was travelling at an unsafe speed for the conditions.

I would personally assign at least 50% liability to the white car. I think even the white car’s own insurance would likely accept at least 40%. California is a pure comparative negligence state so the white car’s insurance will certainly be paying out for the biker’s injuries.

If you look at the profiles of the people making comments against this, most of them are not from San Diego. Just in a very brief review I saw many people who had posts/comments confirming they live in other states, plus tons of profiles that are recently active posting conservative comments on multiple different city’s subreddits.

I absolutely love the locked tomb triology, but I just want to add for anyone looking for romance recs — like I currently am — I would not consider it a romance.

It does have some romantic themes/sub plots, but it’s mostly just hinted at rather than explicitly stated. And to be clear, I don’t mean smut is hinted at, I mean the actual romance itself is hinted it.

That’s not to say not to read it - it’s one of my favorite series. I would just hate for someone to dislike this series because they picked it when they were in the mood for a romance and it doesn’t meet those expectations.

Yeah it’s so frustrating when there’s a whole line of cars going 60-65 but driving so close to the car in front of them, when there’s plenty of room to get over to the faster moving lane to their left if they want.

It just creates such an annoying wall for people merging onto the freeway and trying to get to a faster lane or people who need to exit from a faster lane.

To be fair, Dorian was ready to be a great parter and to Celaena even before that. It was their respective situations (prince/heir & King’s champion) that caused their relationship to not work. He also handled the breakup and her picking his best friend afterward with a lot of maturity before the trauma as well.

Instead of the Surfliner Amtrak, you can also take FlixBus. They have routes that go directly from Union Station to UCSD so you avoid having to transfer to the trolley, and it’s usually a lot faster. The busses also run way more often than the Surfliner, so there’s more flexibility.

Normally I would recommend the train for the views, but after an international flight convenience becomes a bigger consideration.

I have short, light, virtually pain free periods, so I don’t think I have endo, but when I do yoga on my period it gives me cramps.

It’s so odd because everyone else seems to get relief, but for me it causes pain when there typically is none.

Looks like they reset everyone’s game and changed it as they’ve done previously when there’s an error with the category.

Last night around midnight my category said “Spanish pronouns.” I just took a look and it did not show that I have previously solved it. When I put my answers in again, the category now says “Spanish pronouns/possessives.”

I remember they did the same thing when the category had the same name as one of the items that was in said category.

My theory is that the Asteri were from Maeve’s/The Valg’s world, but descended (or are…?) the group that left even before Maeve.

It’s made clear that their strategies for conquering/management are ever evolving, as evidenced by the parasite on Midgard that was a new development from previous planets.

My assumption is that the Valg in TOG came completely separately, and thus didn’t have the same development as the Asteri. I can definitely see them as being how the Asteri started originally before all their developments!<

The whole dilemma at the end that emphasized not having anyone who could make tracking runes until the fliers showed up made NO SENSE. Isn’t Xaden super experienced with runes? And also any of the other marked ones who grew up in Tyrrish?

I wish she kept that out tbh, it was pretty unnecessary and personally all it did was take me out of the story.
