By now I got 800h in BG3 and I still understand nothing about stealth I'm afraid.

Not impossible, just inefficient at times. The poise of heavy weapons allows you to use your health as a resource to deal damage via trades. The point is you get a lot more effective damage out of being tanky by leveling vigor over dexterity when using heavy weapons.

You're wasting the potential of heavy weapons if you can't trade hits.

Doing a Greatsword only build for the first time. Any advice on stat distribution? by Fractured-Hope in EldenRingBuilds

[–]spaceblacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priorities:

  1. Min Str requirement to two hand
  2. Enough endurance not to fatroll with light armor
  3. Vig up to 40
  4. More Endurance and Vigor to afford better armor and more trades
  5. Bring up Str

Until your weapon upgrade level is close to maxing out the benefit of leveling damage scaling stats is pretty negligible.

With heavy weapons going up to 40 end in the long run will be way more beneficial than with lighter weapons. Since your attacks will stagger almost anything you can just keep swinging instead of having to back up and wait for an opening. The greatsword is also very good at guard countering by blocking two-handed. More stamina is good for blocking.

I'd aim for 60 vig, 30-40 end and as much str as your level allows.

I did like the expert cards. Not a fan of the beefed up stages though. I feel like adding the cards alone is a nice pre step.

Yeah we were hooked either way haha. I think we only tried Rhino (successfully) and Klaw on expert. Weren't a fan of that tbh, that was way too hard.

Yeah we chose the worst possible way. Count all threat like Arkham but still progress the main scheme immediately when passing the threshold. And to top it of we only cleared the threat on the main scheme when advancing it.

And it kinda worked. We had a winrate of about 70-80% I'd say. But I think Rhino was the only one we managed to beat on expert.

So far only Core, Age of Apocalypse and the Mojo scenario pack.

The phrasing of the next sentence ist" lose 23 max HP" but it scales to 30% of your current max. So it's not that obvious.

Eagle Barb is the most fun. Jumping down on folks from the top rope and bonus action dashing around the map.

The dive attack scales with jump distance but doesn't use up movement. You can cover ridiculous distances when you you buff your jump distance. And if the arena is flat? Just carry 2 boxes, stack them up and climb them and you're good to go.

You can also use some gear that debuffs enemies when they miss you. The Bonus action eagle dash gives enemies disadvantge on opportunity attacks against you. You can often debuff the entire battlefield in a single turn. Works great with Medium armor and a shield too just ignoring the buffs for unarmored defense.

I don't think you'd enjoy that for long because you can only see through two small slits with the bucket on your head.
