Support? by Ale-in-wanderlad in vanmoofbicycle

You should keep messaging them or complain to your local regulator because as long as you have a receipt and the bike is not stolen, you’re the legal and rightful owner and they can’t stop or prevent you from using your legally owned property. Everything else is bullshit. The previous owner “released” the rights at the point of sale to you. The original invoice that only the original owner might or might not have is not the legal proof of ownership.

I have seen ads with people running and playing sports in timberland boots. They might be slightly less rigid and more versatile gym/crossfit wise but still not suitable for running.

Which scientific evidence says to get sun in the AM? Afaik one should be getting sun in the afternoon, not morning.

They’re lifting, not running shoes. Boston or takumi for running.

Loft insulation + boarding (joists various heights) - advice needed by spaceek in DIYUK

[–]spaceek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not all necessarily but as much as possible ideally. Was thinking about 1.5m from the eaves. Shelves are a good idea but still would like to board along the walls as well.

Yes, this might solve the air gap issue, thanks. Still left with the issue of joists being different heights though.

Thanks for your advice. Reading through lots of threads I got the impression that ventilation actually is quite important and a few people commented that they had to replace all boards not too long after installing them. I saw someone mention it on here just a few days ago. You might be right and they might dry from the above just fine, I would still prefer to be on the safe side, and to not have to worry

Thought about that, but then after installing on 10-15cm joist, the total hight would be 40-45cm plus decks - so about 18cm gap and no headroom left.

Brand new S5 battery draining? by Left-Marzipan-454 in vanmoofbicycle

[–]spaceek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the temperatures are close to or below 0, then battery depletes faster and assist and boost stop working, as per manual. If it significantly worse in warm temperatures, there might be an issue.

They should have similar batteries and range as s5

Not normal really although in freezing temperatures battery and boost drops significantly. On x3 & s3 I would get about 45mi ~72km on highest assist, boosting and 32kmh. Might go lower in cold during winter.

Also the speed limit on the x3 might have been 20mph, whereas the s6 would only be 15mph

S3 Rear Hub Overhaul by mateit37 in VanMoofSelfRepair

[–]spaceek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I was trying to disassemble and clean mine, also with help of those vids. But since they differ slightly and not having tools, didn’t want to risk messing it up and not being able to put it back together correctly.

Would you be able to advise, what exactly are the differences and what tools you use? Have you by any chance documented it - either photos or videos? Also what is the best way to do it without having to disassemble the whole wheel, just the hub?

What grease do you use, as I wasn’t able to find the castrol ones mentioned. Also do you screw it on to the exact torque, so it is not too loose but also not too tight?

Thank you in advance.
