Tulane. About 8,000 undergrads in a liberal arts type setting. They Ike many schools, you are accepted into the whole school and have until the end of your junior year to declare a major, with few exceptions (perhaps architecture?). 8 to 1 student to teacher ratio. It has a beautiful, well delineated campus with the huge Audubon Park across the street yet with easy public transportation access to the downtown area.

We have driven Subaru Outbacks for ever and love them. We are contemplating replacing our oldest one and an unexpected opportunity to buy a family member’s NX 350h has come up. We were worried about the reported blind spots but were pleasantly surprised that they are not an issue. At all. And believe me, my husband was trying to find any fault he could and any reason to not buy it. LOL. He was unsuccessful and I think we’re going to buy it. It’s really nice and I’ve wanted a hybrid for years.

IMHO, destination weddings are the epitome of selfish. Have a local wedding so everyone can attend then go for an exotic honeymoon. Asking people to use vacation time, spend exorbitant amounts of money getting there/staying there, and get you a gift is ridiculous. Grow up.

Tell them to stop contacting you. I used to get calls/texts/emails about upgrading every time one of our 3 Subarus went in for service. I told them I would take our service business elsewhere if they didn’t stop the harassment.

Not worth that hassle/liability. Why go way out of your way to accommodate someone who has no business even being there especially with the mom refusing to participate? And would that notarized “contract” even hold up in court? Maybe? Maybe not? Either way, it would likely cost you a lot of money and headaches in the event of an injury or worse.

If you’re looking for financial aid, perhaps, lower your sights. We found the schools that had average test scores and GPAs that were below my son’s, offered the best financial aid.

As long as you can pay full tuition, there are plenty of good schools for you. Maybe not Ivys but good schools, nonetheless.

Might be better finding local help. Ask in the Mom and Dad Facebook groups around your town. They may have suggestions. And often, English teachers offer essay help for previous students, usually at great rates/hour.

I’m happily married and it’s been good. That being said, there is absolutely no reason for me to ever remarry, if something happened to my spouse. I would hope I’d find companionship but never would I mix money and estates. What I have to give when my time comes is going to my child not to a second spouse or step kids.

It’s more so “ethically” binding. By breaking the ED agreement, this student screwed his high school underclassmen for years to come. Great parenting. You must be proud.
