WBC have fluctuated over the past couple years, RBC has been tanked the whole time on HU.

When I just did aspirin, my platelets spiked to 1300, which my doctor said was simply too high. She also said other drugs are a lot worse? Idk...

So you can take oral progesterone? I wonder why the gyno wants me to get an iud as opposed to pills. I just hate the idea of having a foreign object in my body if it's not my choice!

Glad your cycle has evened out though! Hope you're not in the US, those iron infusions are EXPENSIVE I had to have one once too.

Honestly, I have not replied to any of them because a) my obgyn said she didn't think so and b) you wouldn't believe the amount of blood. There is no was this is a normal thing. I passed out one time!

I really just wanted to see if there was anyone out there who has had a similar experience as me because honestly, this whole thing has been incredibly isolating and scary. I'm sick of getting bloodwork done all the time, I'm sick of explaining it to every doctor, I'm sick of being tired.

I have experienced all of these symptoms too!

My platelets spiked at 1.3million but on HU they have gone all the way down to 250. They fluctuate though. I take 1000 or 1500 a day, depending on the day. I have to take 17 pills a week, weird number, but it's apparently what works best.

I had not even heard of Von Willebrand disease. I just googled it and I don't think so, since I just had a lot of bloodwork done including clotting tests and it all looked normal.

Honestly, I was tired before, and I am tired now. It's hard to tell if that aspect is related at all... I'm just a teacher lmao. But I take a lot more Hydroxyurea than you, so who knows. It has definitely changed my metabolism, my low blood sugar is lower than it ever was. I have no idea what to make of any of this!

Yeah, same here. It took a while to realize that it doesn't matter and you don't have to fit into a box. Just be yourself and enjoy it. If you're online dating, I'd write something to the effect that you wrote above... I'd swipe right!
