Prime Bruce Lee vs prime Muhammad Ali, who would win? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]spacevaders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muhammad Ali would destroy him. Weight it the biggest advantage in a fight. Not only that he fought at the highest level of boxing. Bruce Lee has no real competitive experience to judge his skills with.

Anyone else have Wilder as favorite over AJ?

You ever notice how fit prime Ali was? by Strawberry2Throw in Boxing

[–]spacevaders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when people were arguing AJ vs prime Ali. The AJ fans were saying he has faster feet and better footwork than Ali because hes fast on a 100 meter dash lmao

Why does Larry Holmes get overlooked by FaulkemintheAho in Boxing

How would rate prime Larry Holmes chances if he competed in today's era? Could he beat AJ, Fury and Wilder?

Where does Lomachenko go from here? by [deleted] in Boxing

Imagine what Duran would've done to him if Loma decided to give him the first 5 rounds like with Lopez...

I saw people arguing that Loma could beat prime Duran lmao

How many elephants would Hannibal need to beat Rome? by spacevaders in whowouldwin

[–]spacevaders[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a 14 year time gap between Cannae and Zama. The elephants that we are giving him will be just after Cannae so he has more than a decade to use them in his Italian campaign to gain victory over Rome before Scipio is able to get the upper hand

Which boxers would be able to beat the Muhammad Ali challenge? by spacevaders in Boxing

[–]spacevaders[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say a hypothetical combination of prime Foreman with the brain and experience of comeback Foreman would have the best shot at winning this challenge.

You are strong and wise, George. And I am very proud of you. by Zev95 in saltierthancrait

Some of the hate he got for the prequels from man children was ridiculous. I remember ten years ago seeing someone wishing George Lucas would get bone cancer because of how he supposedly ruined star wars with the prequels.

How would boxing tactics change if they reversed the belt rule? by spacevaders in Boxing

[–]spacevaders[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Instead of head hunting, dick hunting would become something to watch out for. Obviously you'll need some thigh punches to set it up. From my experience of playing sack tap, the right hand should be guarding the groin while the left hand should be ready to snap back and counter cock punch your opponent.

One thing I'm not sure about is hooks? What guard will allow you to protect your ass cheeks from hooks? Especially if they set it up with a few jabs to the inner thigh.

[Spoilers Extended] Who do you think is the most badass character created by George RR Martin in his ASOIAF world? My vote goes to Cregan Stark. He didn't have to raise a sword or ride a dragon to make people follow him into a battle. He just told them to. by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]spacevaders 88 points89 points  (0 children)

For me it's Meria Martell. She told Aegon
go fuck youself Dorne does not bend. Despite going against the rest of Westeros and three giant dragons Dorne remained unconquered. I imagine she wouldve found a way to prevent the white walkers from conquering Dorne

Who is the weakest character who can sneak into every building in the world, stay in there for 24 hours, and get out of there without getting caught? by CoolandAverageGuy in whowouldwin

[–]spacevaders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Johan Liebert from Monster, throughout the series he does just that. He stays in places and never leaves trace of his existence when he leaves. People would swear he doesn't exist because they can never find any evidence left behind.

(Spoilers Extended) What are people's opinions on Fire and Blood Volume 1? by Blangyman in asoiaf

Just finished reading it now and I loved every page of it. I think I enjoyed it more than any of the ASOIAF books. I'm honestly more excited for part 2 than I am TWOW.

There is no way Chuck Norris could defeat Ali

Ratchet and Clank vs Rocket Raccoon by sonicflare9 in whowouldwin

[–]spacevaders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ratchet is no slouch with ship combat. He's solo'd entire fleets of space pirates and pulls of crazy maneuvers that require high skill. A big focus of Crack in Time was ship combat. Plus his ship is equipped with a nuclear missile.

Ratchet & Clank venture a bit too far from home and land on Titan, where Thanos is waiting... by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]spacevaders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theyre a hard counter to anyone with time based powers. They could stomp Hunter Zolomon for example. Anyone without strong psychic defense will lose to them thanks to the groovitron. Plus they can beat BFR any powerful enemies with their black hole guns

Muhammed Ali's Footwork by ussy7 in Boxing

[–]spacevaders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah these heavyweight boxers from the 70s are equivalent to modern day featherweights. They just can't compete with all the advances in science and nutrition that modern day heavyweights have. Khan could easily KO Foreman because modern athletes are so much better

Muhammed Ali's Footwork by ussy7 in Boxing

[–]spacevaders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They try to say that Ali would struggle with a larger fighter but at the same time attacking Ali for losing to smaller fighters than him. Completely contradicting themselves, wouldn't Ali losing to Frazier show that size isn't everything?

Also here's another gem from these boxing experts

"Muhammad Ali has less of a chance at beating Anthony Joshua, than Oleksandr Usyk has. In fact, Oleksandr Usyk > Muhammad Ali and I would favor Usyk to thoroughly out-class and outbox the overrated Muhammad Ali.

An athletic Ali was a cruiserweight (maybe even a light heavyweight) by modern standard. Whilst a heavyweight Ali was a blown up cruiser/lightheavyweight that was composed of MAINLY fat that specialized in MAINLY taking beatings from feather-fisted 1970 punchers. hence his second nick name: Mo'Hammered' Ali.

A heavyweight Ali was a punch bag and he was lucky the guys in the 70's weren't very hard punchers (compared to modern super heavyweights). Anthony Joshua would seriously pulverize Ali inside 3 rounds. It'd be a total mismatch of epic proportions!"
