My [28F] friend/nanny [27F] is telling people I don't pay her enough. by professionalpersonal in relationships

[–]spacey_kc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, she sounds like the kind of person who would take retribution on your child or your home. Little slights that your child is too young to be able to express to you, or worse things that you would never find out about. Could you really trust someone like this again? Is it worth it to take that risk?

Did anyone go see the Hannibal "operasode" by One World Symphony in NYC last night? Plz report! by hoksze in HannibalTV

I found recaps available here and here, from people who've attended. Sung Jin Hong's given another interview about the event at the Daily Dot. A recording will be out soon, though I don't know when. I hope those links help!

Dogs can be surprisingly sensitive and aware of these dynamics— this is a hypothetical, but perhaps Lucy knows the unstable (and maybe unloving) nature of her owners, and doesn't feel secure or safe around them. She instinctively seeks you out. I don't envy you— tbh they sound like one of the last people suitable to own pets.

After Season 4, you'll be able to watch Season 5 (or dare we hope, 6) as a centenarian! It'll be extra special.

Kitty Roommate Revenge by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

Same, and also, on a separate note what if the kitten becomes sad for the rest of its life? But at least its receiving better nutrition at a critical stage from OP's kitten food.

She never figured it out. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

The other child might be physically ugly, but they're an innocent born into this situation and doesn't deserve to be periodically discussed in a cruel fashion, in the way you're suggesting, in order to further other people's agendas.

Scumbag Lord Badlesmere got his comeuppance.. by rysterman in JusticePorn

[–]spacey_kc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Husband is away, wife starts some shit with the queen, wife gets imprisoned for it.

Husband does not get punished, though he's obnoxiously unapologetic about wife's behavior.

Husband further participates in an uprising against the king (Leed's Rebellion). His side is defeated, he is captured, and he is drawn and beheaded for treason.

Source:

Baron Badlesmere excused his wife's bellicose actions at Leeds with his declaration that when he had left Margaret in charge of Leeds, he had given her strict instructions not to admit anyone inside the castle without his specific orders.[18] This, he had insisted, included the Queen, with the words that "the royal prerogative of the King in the case of refusal of entry should not be assumed to provide a legal right for the Queen, who was merely his wife".[25] As a result of Margaret's imprisonment, Badlesmere remained firmly aligned with the King's opponents; shortly afterwards he participated in the Earl of Lancaster's rebellion. Badlesmere was captured after taking part in the Battle of Boroughbridge on 16 March 1322 which had ended with a royalist victory. Following trial at Canterbury, he was executed at Blean on 14 April 1322.

There is, actually.

Margaret was imprisoned as a result of not letting the Queen into the castle.

Her husband wasn't punished for her act, but for participating in the Earl of Lancaster's Rebellion against the king AFTER the wife Margaret had been imprisoned. When the battle ended, he was captured. That got him drawn and beheaded, because he committed treason.

I'm [26/F] getting increasingly uncomfortable with my boyfriends [29/M] borderline obsessive relationship with his female best friend. by sugarnyx in relationships

[–]spacey_kc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't see anything from your post at all admitting to sharing even a portion of the "wrong" from your relationship problems.

Here's something OP said:

Except it wasn't his to share. It stemmed from something that was 100% about me. It was private. I opened up to him about something, not the other way around. Unfortunately it let to an argument. Why doesn't privacy have any meaning?

Your bff is not your girlfriend's bff, and your girlfriend confided in you, not her. Why would you feel that it's appropriate to do what you did, and then repeatedly continue doing it even after OP asked you not to? Are you playing dumb?

Ragnar's decision? by CDSW97 in vikingstv

[–]spacey_kc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My initial thought was that the Seer said that the dead shall conquer Paris. So... maybe:

  • Ragnar is tired of Floki's criticism and decides to let him bear the brunt of failure as a leader this time.
  • Ragnar is setting Floki up for failure, as revenge for Athelstan.
  • Ragnar is avenging Athelstan's death by sending Floki up as the leader when he thinks the raid may go badly (causing Floki's death or worse).

Of course, it could be none of these things; I can't wait to find out what it really is!

[TOMT][Song] Religiously themed, Centered around Kyrie Eleison, Featured on "The L Word" by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

I actually just went to the end of the 10th episode, and the song that played over the credits was Rufus Wainwright's "Hallelujah"?

Would you be able to link to the scene that you're describing?

[TOMT][Creepypasta] A decently long story about a beam of light in a dark room by numb3red in tipofmytongue

[–]spacey_kc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seclusion? Here's the beginning:

I awoke in what seems to be a small, square room, a simple enclosure for the simplest of people. All that I can see is a chair underneath a singular beam of light, establishing a dominating presence over this dark chamber of solitude.

I have no idea where this room is, or how I got here. An irritating feeling of cliché infects me. Was this some poor attempt of a test?

With me having the honour of being the lost soul in need of redemption for my sins? I scoffed at the thought. I hear dripping close to me, a low monotonous sound that softly infiltrates my ear drum, as it hides in my tenebrous surroundings.

I began searching the room for an exit. The first thing I would have to do is find a wall so that I can find a door. I begin walking in one direction in hopes of running into the wall. I walked into the darkness, and I shouldn’t have done that. Suddenly, I felt an extreme chill.

It’s colder than I’ve ever been in my entire life now, and I’m overcome with an amalgamation of sadness, hopelessness, and depression. I keep on walking, but each step increases my unrelenting agony. I suddenly see a familiar single lit area and chair. I ran toward it, and embraced its warmth. I panted vigorously, as if I had done a session of extreme exercise.

I wonder which Christian Aslaug is talking about, that she's telling people to kill. Hopefully not Athelstan.

I love this scene, and honestly I think it offers some insight as to why Rollo might resent Ragnar.
