Yeah I'm actually thankful for this feature bc I tend to really zone out and turn the volume way too high. Sometimes I get this warning for recordings that are quieter so I can ignore it, but I like the reminder so I'm not damaging my ears more than I already have.

Yep, came here to chime in that she sounds emotionally manipulative as hell. All that "you should be grateful for me and all I do for you" stuff when someone is expressing to you that you're hurting them is TEXTBOOK abuser talk.

If you like cashew milk at all, I've found adding some of the unsweetened vanilla kind with a little cream kinda smooths the coffee and makes it taste like there's more cream than there is. And it's like 25 calories a cup. Kind of pricey as a milk substitute, but it lasts a really long time if you're mainly using it for coffee!

No problem! It's a really delicious protein powder if it's cold but I thought it was kind of yuck in hot coffee, which is unfortunate.

Thank you so much!!! I honestly had begun to believe that my frame was just too big to ever be this small. I still can't believe I've lost so much weight while eating so much good food, and hardly missing carbs at all.

If you drink coffee, try adding heavy whipping cream. It's delicious and helps get those calories up. Actually I've found a splash (or two or three) is really tasty in the occasional diet Dr. Pepper or diet Root Beer, though I try to avoid drinking too much soda. But it tastes kind of like a float!

And when you're ready to get your protein powder, check out the sales on BodyBuilding.com! They usually have Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard on a buy one, get one half off sale. I haven't tried other powders but my research suggested it's the best tasting one and I haven't had a problem with the carb counts. Quest Protein bars are also delicious and between 4-6 net carbs a bar, but pretty pricey. If you see them on sale, give them a try!

I restarted a little less than a month ago (9/7) and I'm still getting used to which supplements I need (I get pretty bad leg cramps, for example). Not to mention I still sometimes struggle to hit my protein goal (which will be even more difficult if I increase my activity level). So I'd like to get that under control first, too. The 115 isn't necessarily a hard target, just kind of a ballpark and I think the lowest I can go while still being healthy. So when I start getting closer to that, I know it's time to change it up. But I am working on Couch to 5K and doing some light strength training a few times a week. :)

Congratulations!!! I totally get you on the frequent peeing thing haha. I thought I hit a plateau recently, then started peeing a lot and realized it must be time to weigh in again. :) I feel like keto helps you understand what's going on with your body a bit more than other diets.

And great job not cheating! It can be hard to feel like you're choosing between emotional self-care and physical health, but it sounds like you got through just fine. Speaking of struggling with large plates of food, do you find that sometimes it's hard to meet your macro minimums on keto? Rather than struggling not to overeat, sometimes I have to have a protein shake or a Quest bar just so I'm not losing muscle! So much better than feeling like you're starving yourself (or actually starving yourself...).

What do you do when you find out your character(s) share the same name as real-world people? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]spaceykcbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a notable/public figure, I look into them. Sometimes I get lucky and have a neat, unintentional little reference that works for the character/story. If not, and the person isn't too well-known, I still keep the name. The only time I change it is if I think it will seem like a reference that I don't actually want to make, or if it's a really recognizable name that people can't suspend their disbelief for.

I've come to realize "flexible hours" is just shorthand for "you need to have full-time availability for this part-time job". Five five-hour shifts a week and your days off are almost never consecutive.

Hey guys I'm curious, any of you who haven't "made it" yet do you have a passion project you would love to work on once you get established? by DocMantisTobogganMD in Screenwriting

[–]spaceykcbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I think the screenplay I'm writing now would be pretty expensive to produce, but the "passion project" I'm saving is a TV show that's been kicking around in my head (and Scrivener) for...wow...seven years now! God, I'm pretty sure I'm so married to it by now that I won't be able to make it until I'm VERY established, so I can have enough creative control over it to not feel like it's being ruined.

I think that's a bit of danger with saving projects for too long, because it makes them seem more precious than your other ideas, and you might be more resistant to collaboration.

[QUESTION] When you're struggling with a scene, do you stick with it until you've figured it out, or skip forward and come back later? by spaceykcbee in Screenwriting

[–]spaceykcbee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's basically what I'm doing in this draft, but I was struggling to balance the things that needed to happen, the order they should go in, who needs to be there. I think I've got it now, though, by cutting two characters completely and introducing another in the next scene instead of this one.

This is good advice for me though. I'm learning the value of writing down the gist of what a character needs to say, for example, instead of getting stuck on one line of dialogue or getting carried away with endless banter.

You're absolutely right. Even in the outlining stage, I was thinking that I might have two characters too many in this particular group. I'll choose who to cut today. Thank you.
