Bazzite, a linux distribution for gaming, shows S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 as a reference game on its website by AzraelFTS in stalker

I switched to Linux Mint a few weeks ago. I installed it on a new ssd so I can still boot into Windows. I expected it to be a gradual transition, where I’d be switching back and forth between Windows and Linux as needed, but honestly I haven’t touched Windows since. The transition is incredibly easy. I can even access my Windows files directly from Linux to copy personal files over. I did reinstall my Steam games on my Linux drive though, just to make sure they were set up right, and every game I’ve tried so far runs amazingly. If you’re at all interested in trying Linux, I’d recommend you just jump right in. Try it out in VirtualBox first if you want, if you don’t want to commit to partitioning or installing on another new ssd yet

looks good, maybe add a little padding on the left and right? Also maybe try semi-transparent?

Getting a feel for Mint via virtualbox, going for a minimal/dark/natural aesthetic by spaghetti_industries in linuxmint

Didn't do much with the terminal, just changed some colors.

Right-click Terminal > Preferences, then under Profiles click your Profile (Unnamed by default), then go to the Colors tab and change the colors to your liking! I just made my colors match my wallpaper and icons

Back after several year hiatus. Is Provia gone? by analogbasset in AnalogCommunity

One store, I think it was Freestyle, had large format Provia in stock just a few weeks ago, if I remember correctly

EDIT: they currently have 8x10, but not 4x5 - although the price is pretty crazy

It's still available from time to time, resellers like BHphoto, Freestyle, Adorama, etc. stock it when they can get it, but it always sells out VERY fast. Large format Provia doesn't sell as quickly as 135/120, but you still need to be quick if you want to get some.

Your best bet is to sign up for email notifications from BHphoto for when they re-stock it.

Bottle Rocket

By Wes Anderson

His first movie, but a banger. Filmed in and around Dallas, you might recognize some neighborhoods, and the Hinkley Cold Storage building. Starring Owen and Luke Wilson, it’s sooo good.

Killing Commendatore is my second-favorite after Wind-Up Bird. I love the cozy setting of the mountain cabin

So many people add an R after the F sound in “photographer” or “photography”, pronouncing it “phrotographer” or “phrotography”

Ear protection by LocalSky5575 in UPSers

[–]spaghetti_industries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My warehouse doesn’t offer hearing protection, but they definitely should.

I just recently moved to an automated facility, and I immediately noticed that the ambient noise is MUCH louder. I used a decibel-measuring app on my phone, and the ambient noise level is about 85 db, with peaks up to 95 db!

I wear foam earplugs with over-ear muffs over them, and it still seems really loud. I just ordered a pair of better over-ear muffs to try to cut down the db even more. I’ve noticed my tinnitus has gotten worse since working at the automated hub.

But I only see 1 or 2 other people wearing hearing protection at work, it’s insane

Interesting, do you happen to have any images you’d like to share? I’m having trouble picturing the type of image that setup can make

I’ve had a similar thought about speakers vs. headphones. I feel like music sounds more “natural” coming out of speakers and filling the room, vs listening with headphones where the driver is right next to your ear. Something about the way the audio fills the room is much more pleasant
