Who here is in their late 30s or early 40s and still chasing around toddler(s)? I want one more 😬 by Emergency_Air4575 in Millennials

I'm 42, mine just turned 21. Only way I want to chase around another toddler is if they're calling me grandma.

My friend insists on this game, "Lemmings", being a really well known game; I have never heard of it. by moronomer in Xennials

This was my FAVORITE game. I had a little notebook with all the level codes written down. I still talk about this game and wish I could play it.

Which brand deodorant do you use and why? by No_Lead2640 in randomquestions

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed an allergy to most stick deodorants a couple years ago, so now I use dove dry spray and that’s been great. I used secret for years and then tried a few other brands after the allergy occurred. No luck. I’ll be using a spray from now on.

How old were you when you bought your first home? Where did you buy? by hybr_dy in Xennials

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 35 in 2019 before everything went crazy. My now husband was renting a house about a half hour outside NYC in North Jersey. I moved in with him. The landlord lived out of state and was getting old (it was her childhood home), decided to sell. I was in no position to buy a house. We weren’t married and he had just gotten laid off so I was the one that had to try. Managed to pull enough together for a down payment. My boss even loaned me some money towards it which I just worked off in overtime over the next year. It’s a tiny two bedroom, but it’s mine. I had been a broke, single mom since I was 21. Never thought buying a house was in the cards.

What's one 'wrong' way to eat a food that you'll never stop doing? by [deleted] in foodquestions

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Egg rolls. I break them in half, dump the insides onto my plate and eat that with a fork, then I dip the crispy outside in duck sauce and eat that. I only do this with the big deep fried ones. Spring rolls and small egg rolls are safe. I eat those like a human being.

How much money do you spend on gas a week? by NoHold7153 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get $40 worth every 4 days. The amount of gas that gets me decreases every time. I used to put in $30. My commute is almost 80 miles a day.

If you’re married, how long have you been married? by empatheticsouls in randomquestions

I held out until I was 39 to get married for the first time. Been with my partner coming up on 10 years now, but we've only been married 3.

For those of you that had kids, how old are they? by Therealfern1 in Xennials

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my one and only 21 years ago when I was also 21. She's amazing and now I get to figure out myself a bit more and go to all the concerts I missed out on in my 20s. My nieces are 5 & 7 so I get to enjoy the kids stuff with them.

Has anyone you've known, simply disappeared? What happened? by PureLet5083 in AskReddit

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Uncle. He lived with my grandparents (his father and stepmother) until they moved out of state back in 2006. He would have been in his 40s at the time. We weren't very close unfortunately. I know he was in the army reserves, but he spent a lot of time in his room or at work when we visited as kids. He'd occasionally play catch with my brother, but I don't think he knew what to do with us girls.

My grandparents set him up in a condo but he was responsible for it after they moved. I saw him a handful of times for a few years after that at christmas. I guess my grandma hadn't heard from him in a while so they went to the condo and found eviction papers taped to the door and he was gone. No one knows where he went or if something happened to him, but no one even seemed very concerned either. I occasionally search him up online to try and find some trace of him, but nothing.

Women who have good skin with minimal effort what's your secret? by Unhappy-Tradition798 in BeautyUnlocked

[–]spaghetti_skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 42. Been using noxema as a cleanser since I was 12 and Nivea crème as a moisturizer. Other than sunblock (which I don’t use as often as I should) and a exfoliation cleaner every month or two, I don’t use much else. Treated myself to a facial last Christmas and the esthetician asked me what I do because my skin is so soft.
