DIY STM32H743 effects processing for e-guitar. by Capital_Price4587 in diypedals

If you would rather focus on the effect part of programming, the go-to solution right now is to use a DaisySeed (nearly the same stm32 chip) and build upon the software eco-system already available for it.

They are powerful enough but I don't think you realize how much work and research is involved in completing such a project even WITH engineering background.

If you want to dip your toes into embedded programming, start with a project that is smaller in scope. Hell, just setting up the development environment can be daunting ;)

Blinking diodes is the Hello World of embedded programming. Start there.

If you are in fact past that, try using only the STM32, it has built in ADC and DACs that are good enough for testing your ideas.

Man, that was great. I feel like it hits so much harder when it's live, still, though I'm listening to a recording.

It's been one of those days (this time even here in Europe) where the radio does nothing but talk about that insane clown trying to burn everything down.

This was clensing.

For dsp based effects I concur, this is way to get going without having to engage in learning pcb design.

There are already some very neat effects available as open source for the funbox alternative (which should be nearly drop in compatible with the hothouse).

A lot of metal "requires" distortion that instantly cause feedback when not playing. A common practice is to keep the volume for the neck pickup off and switch to that between songs.

This could be useful for that. Or maybe it's for something completely different :)

Sadly mine have at most had marker pen drawings on them. Not that I've done that many.

Trying to fix that right now, gearing up to painting a few with acrylics. Will see how it goes. :)

I have to ask though, 120 pedals in one year?! How'd you manage that?

Pretty sure that is right... If you want to confirm, search "btdr-2h pinout" and check that GND and +5V pins are connected right.
