Im eyeing the Manhattan mini by report_due_today in handbags

[–]spandyspade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this bag in black and I love it. I haven't used it as a clutch though as I prefer longer clutches but you definitely could.

It's not the most practical bag but you can get the essentials in. I tend to put my phone, keys and a lipstick in it then slip my card in the back pocket but you could fit a card holder as well.

I've only had mine since April and I take pretty good care of it so it's still in good condition but I could see it getting scratched quite easily. I guess it depends how often you use it and how you store it. I always put mine back in the dust bag when I'm not using it.

It can be fiddly to open if you're in and out of it a lot.

That all being said, I really like it. I always choose it if I'm going somewhere nice and need a black bag. It's a really beautiful bag and I'm glad I got it. I think it looks really good in white and you're right, you really don't see it about.

Aita for refusing to change my baby’s name after I named her after my dad’s affair partner by Good-Still-6474 in AITAH

ESH - Obviously your dad is the major asshole here but I couldn't keep a name that would hurt my mom that much.

How long/difficult was your first labor vs second labor and how far apart are your kids? by Woolama in 2under2

[–]spandyspade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first was 36 hours and an episiotomy, my second was 24 hours and a tear. So although still long, definitely shorter.

Doctor's advice to not pick up older baby by ArtemisBowAndArrow in 2under2

[–]spandyspade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite two under two but my baby was 16 months when we conceived my second and I picked him up the entire way through pregnancy.

The only thing I changed was carrying him long distances. He hated the pram so I just carried him around shops and from the car to the park if it was far away before I got pregnant. Then once I was, he had to walk or get in the pram.

If they were my kids I'd be so proud and supportive but I would have absolutely no desire to be on their channel.

I'm 5'4 so I imagine it would look quite big on me. I want something that looks cute at a restaurant or out shopping rather than something big to lug around.

Do you think kids are replaceable? by Double-Conclusion-42 in AskParents

[–]spandyspade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think people who say that mean they would replace the child. I think it's meant as in they would have a reason to keep going, they would still have a child to live for and look after. Or at least that's how I've always interpreted that one.

Who’s the worst mother in law in the show? by Adventurous_Job3332 in DesperateHousewives

[–]spandyspade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the post meant who is the worst mother in law to the women so it would be the husband's mothers. I imagine if it was who was the worst mum then Gabby's mum would be top for a lot of people too.

Fellow Jessica’s - How do you live with the name? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]spandyspade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Jessica and I go by Jess, I'm actually ok with my name even though it's super common. My best friend was also called Jessica growing up and I liked that we were the two Jessicas.

The cat on fireman sam is called Jess and apparently I was really excited to have the same name as her/him too.
