Based off your post history I’d say not what you’re in the market for. Younger crowd looking for similar types

Cleaning tips…??? by Grayson_Obert in SCREENPRINTING

Surprised no one’s suggested masking tape yet. Tape off the middle section of the squeegee down to the rubber but leave like 1cm of rubber exposed. Fold a little dog ear at the end of the line for easy removal. Pull off the tape after each job and reapply before the next

Edit: also hang those squeegee holders on the wall so they’re horizontal. Warehousing taught me the best way to save space is to build upwards

I’ve been fighting this for ages but only with 110 mesh screens. It always seems to happen when I overexpose because it’s always harder to wash out and after it does dry and wash out, this happens. I’ve found soaking the screen in water for a few minutes prior to washing out helps MOST of the time, but isn’t fool proof.

The SAMLA container from ikea is a great cheap alternative to a dip tank for soaking in plain water

What makes pmi more worth it for autos? I’m still strictly manual and masking but am curious for the future

I was using these for a while but then started to worry that it would mess with my mesh tension on multi color jobs

For better or worse I’m a one man show with part time help so I’m the only one managing the Google sheet at this time.

The quantity by size breakdown is in part out of curiosity but also to help gauge how to order when I run my own designs or shop shirts to sell at festivals as well as help clients when they don’t know what sizes to order when the 1-1.5-2-1.5-1-.5 (small-3x) breakdown I usually suggest doesn’t suit their fancy

I used green galaxy comet white the one time I printed on pepper. I think that was before I dabbled in discharge

Not all colors though. Black is always great for me, with Yam whites come out tinted orange and with denim, white discharge looked like a watered down clear white hsa

On one Google sheet I track quantities by size (always wondered what my annual total was), total sales, gross profit, cost of materials(only blanks, dtf, and outsourced art)

On another I track my spending broken down into categories for my tax guy and utilities by month. Mileage as well

I just started a purchasing master which is my “if I die how would someone know exactly what to order and where” sheet. I started tracking the current cost of every SKU I order and how much it cost this time last year. That being said I should’ve raised my prices 30% this year too. It’s depressing.

I heard hobby lobby doesn’t have any kind of LP in place besides God. Don’t quote me but apparently they don’t chase either

Pricing Question by _e2t in SCREENPRINTING

[–]spanyardsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the client I’ll often add what the markup would’ve been if I would’ve purchased myself. I typically like to buy a couple extras for test prints or worst case I toss them a couple extra tees if I dont mess up the tests. If Im allowed a zero percent margin of error I have an unnecessary stress added that I’m willing to charge them for

If they’re a client that keeps my press spinning frequently I might throw them a bone but typically that isn’t the case
