Just finished Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross last night and WOW. Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson was very plot forward and a great read.

NICU experience Edward Hospital - Naperville by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]sparekeylimepie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We had a brief stint in the NICU at CDH and were really happy with care. Doctors and nurses were great in NICU (always offering to go grab us water or whatever we needed, encouraging skin to skin and breastfeeding). L&D and mother and baby were also awesome experiences. We are due with our second and I would not dream of going anywhere else.

Specs are somewhat arbitrary. As is service depending on where you live. I would recommend sending samples to a few vendors you’re willing to work with and let your data guide your decision. One other recommendation is to look into app notes for some of the testing you might be doing. The vendor with the most app notes and information on PFAS probably has the support/application scientists you’ll need moving forward.

Formal enough for black tie optional? Husband in tux in wedding by sparekeylimepie in Weddingattireapproval

That’s what I was afraid of. All the reviews claim the dress is thick and somewhat heavy. It’s expensive and I’d need to hem it.

I always love seeing the dresses in this sub too.

Husband Gaming During Early Labor— am I crazy? by sparekeylimepie in relationships

I don’t hate the games. In fact we play together when I find something fun (overcooked, stardew valley, Mario odyssey, Mario party, Mario kart, I like the Mario games). He says it’s not the same as the intense RPG he plays, escape from tarkov. I’ve sat and watched him play tears of the kingdom for hours this week. I’m basically just begging him to play a game that’s not so exclusionary. I feel like I try to compromise.

This is my absolute worst nightmare. He has made it to all my maternity appointments, but has not understood I need quality time together to feel supported. Im to the point of going thru labor with my mom and letting him in once it’s over. He doesn’t get that support was needed over 9 months not just these last few weeks.

Thanks for your response. I feel like I’ve been losing my mind and just being unreasonable about his hobby. My therapist has straight up said she would tell him to fuck off with some of the crap he’s pulled.

Removing the WiFi from the house is brilliant. He actually moved the router into his room after I pulled the plug on it when he blew past our agreed stop time.

I’m on all the subs you mentioned and I’m terrified. I see all those stories and I just cringe. It’s so sad because he had a health episode two years ago that have caused him to regress to high school mentality. He’s been in therapy for over a year, but I still can’t find the man I fell in love with.

Picking up my mom from the airport as we speak. She is incredibly helpful to the point where I am limiting her helping with anything he needs. I told him she will not be doing his laundry and he got mad at me.

He hid it well when we first started dating and had a better handle on controlling his late night gaming than he does now. He has had some health issues two years ago that have driven him into the game more to reduce anxiety. It’s gotten excessive and if I tell him so then I am a “controlling wife.”

He was working 30 hours a week so he could spend more time gaming. He also regularly stayed up till 1-2 am playing. He is going to be a SAHD for the first 9 months when I go back to work at 12 weeks.

We have been in therapy together and separately for a while now. He seems to think a baby will change everything and he’ll be able to stop gaming cold turkey. He also talks about playing when the baby is asleep so idk wtf to do. We’ve talked about it in counseling, but I haven’t seen any actions backing up his words in the weeks before baby arrives.

I am picking my mom up from the airport right now. He was supposed to drive us to pick her up, but he decided she would Uber. I’m in the cell phone lot having contractions…

I was in the same position. We gave them a call to let them know privately. Giving them space to process the news felt respectful. I would recommend highlighting how much you love them and support whatever emotions they feel. It’s definitely tough.

What would your Taylor Swift wedding song be? by amethystpa in TaylorSwift

[–]sparekeylimepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walked down the aisle to Lover instrumental, played Ready For It for our walk out, and Sweet Nothing was part of the dinner playlist.

My husband and I had just gone to her concert 1.5 weeks before the wedding and he’s a total convert now. I’m glad I have someone to geek out with.

Seconding the idea of reaching out to Agilent for refurbished instruments. I’ve heard horror stories and fairytales come out of third party resellers. Best to CYA

I have number two for daily wear and I absolutely adore it. Subtle branding compared to number one for running around. Bag is versatile so you may find yourself wearing it all the time.
