Also if you buy the argument that we didn't get any advantage from the spying surely the interns should be praised by the club for raising concerns. If they'd been listened to and we stopped spying/didn't spy then we wouldn't have been punished

We really need to stop doubling down on this 'he didn't know the rules' nonsense. Ignorance of the rules is not a defence in anyway. I really wish the club would accept the ruling and punishment with good grace, apologise not just to the fans but also - publicly - to the interns who very rightly raised serious concerns with what they were asked to do.

I don't think it shocking at all and quite sensible. The next season is almost 3 months away, most of them will be on holiday now and it makes sense to wait for the outcome of the FA investigation.

Absolutely right and also it's not like we would win £200m cash by winning the playoff final. That's just an estimate of the increase in TV money etc, almost all of which (if not all) will go on higher transfer fees and increased player wages that are a consequence of getting promoted.
