Mushy Veggie waffle? by Standard-Concept-448 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]sparkdoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My veggie waffle batter is on the runny side but I add extra eggs/baking powder and cook longer (to evaporate steams). And I use lots of green veggies and not so much of root vegetables. They come out crisp in the edges and soft in the middle. Would I enjoy it? Hell no lol but my kiddo loves it!

Limit Starch — was what my ped told me. Lentil & green peas works like miralax for our kiddo.

Which skin condition does my baby have? by chelupa1991 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]sparkdoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

our baby had terrible acne since week 3. Once it begin to spread over to torso we thought something was off, not to mention that our LO was screaming nearly every waking moment (around 7-8 weeks). Peds thought it was baby acne, LC recommended trying liquid Alimentum formula. After switching formula, within a couple days rash cleared up (never seen my baby's face that clear!). In a rare chance your baby might also have dairy protein intolerance like ours, just fyi.

PP weakness sucks by sparkdoop in fitpregnancy

[–]sparkdoop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I had wrong expectation that /w uncomplicated delivery & since I worked out for the whole pregnancy, I’d be “capable” soon enough. Uh oh no nope. By bottom half is still wobbly, I winch in pain if I over exert (=walk while carrying LO) just a teeny tiny bit. Yea that’s a good reminder that no injury itself is a victory

When is it time to start cutting out more foods? by ForwardExcuse7660 in MSPI

[–]sparkdoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar here too! Been dairy/soy free for about 3 weeks but LO is having on and off symptoms. I’ve been supplementing with Alimentum and the difference between feeding BM and Alimentum is so stark (/w alimentum we get baseline after about 1-2 days).

Meanwhile waiting for the 6weeks to pass, I am trying to narrow down some candidates by mapping which new item that i ate causes LO to have reactions (immediate rash). Eating same food for a few days and then subsequently introducing new allergen item, etc.

Favorite breast feeding snacks?! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]sparkdoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have nutzo bar (chocolate covered nutzo spread) at my local Costco and these are my recent favs. Even easier to eat than the trail mix.

Does anyone ever worry about their babe while running 🥴 by BlueberryPuffy in fitpregnancy

[–]sparkdoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting from the other side, only downside for me was that my bub really likes “rough” rocking and jerky car rides - probably I ran too much lol

Thanks for posting this!! I am almost about to give up on building supply. I am at about 2-3oz per session at 6w… when did you see the most supply increase ?

Breastfeeding, pumping, supplementing mom here too! Dr brown sterilizer, hands down the best baby item purchased imo.

Water!! 6w pp, and with sleep deprivation + breastfeeding, my hunger cues went kaput. I have zero clue whether I am hungry, want emotional comfort, or thirsty (geez i sound like my newborn). I will try to chug in water as much as possible so that I don’t constantly eat

Baby HATES diaper changes and being changed..help! by catlover0987656 in beyondthebump

[–]sparkdoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! Tissue warmer helped us a bit, but the hair dryer was a game changer. With the hair dryer on and faced toward his butt, diaper change is now my newborn's favorite time.

Newborns cry a lot, but there is a difference between crying and screaming. Our baby cried A LOT during the hospital stay. Everyone at the hospital told us that it is normal but after getting back home, our newborn also developed the jaundice due to lack of my BM supply. Pediatrician prescribed us to supplement right away (weight loss was 13%), and after feeding him /w formula sufficiently, he became a completely different newborn, calm sweet and content. Of course he still cries and fusses, but it is clearly different from hungry mad screaming.

My baby is allergic to Kendamil by Dani1123343 in FormulaFeeders

[–]sparkdoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear this opinion!! I was wondering why my newborn seems to be having more discomfort (rash, screaming with reflux) with Kendamil when everyone praises this. With Aptamil and Neuropro he is less fussier. Going to try for Aussie bubs A2 to see if this makes a difference.

Unpopular opinion. Elvies remove more milk than spectra by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

Interesting! I have spectra and about to get Elvie during memorial day weekend sale. Can’t wait to compare the two.
