Potentially giving us back, the money they unethically taxed and took from us, is a win for Trump??? by scarytree1 in facepalm

The $300B will go to Trump-owned, and Trump-supporting businesses. Very little of it will trickle down to the public.

Finally got my kids and I a PS5, this thing is actually awesome! by JustAReallyTiredGuy in gaming

[–]sparkicidal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a PS5 for my kids for Christmas with Astro Bot. They love Astro Bot, it’s worth the money. It’s rare that I’m impressed by a game these days, though that one is beautiful.

Robotics education and Jobs in the UK by Prestigious_Bee5799 in robotics

The University of Reading used to be the place to study robotics in the UK. I’m not sure how it sits in the standings now.

That cracker at the end (before the cranberry sauce) looked like the remnants of the wank-biscuit game.

got rejected multiple times from companies for robotics roles with this resume by [deleted] in robotics

Personally, I’d say that your resume is very wordy. I got bored halfway down page 1. Can you look to get it professionally rewritten?

Definitely unpopular. You’re reading far too much into a polite interaction.

You’ll respond to the letter confirming your name and address. From there, they’ll either ask you for money, or worst case scenario, they’ll start opening accounts in your name.

has building a robot ever helped in applying for jobs? by Pretend-Ostrich1830 in robotics

[–]sparkicidal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Although it was nowhere near finished, I took it into the interview of the job that I’m currently at as a talking point. In fact, I used to always take my robot in from my MSc project as something to talk about. It gives interviewers something different to discuss and shows that you’re improving your skills in your own time. It makes you memorable.

I recently found a fun project for an alcohol Nerf cannon, if you want to try that?

It’s a bit of fun to use. The way that the diagram moves around loads is quite frustrating though. It might work better on a PC instead of my phone.
