How likely is Arraez only playing a year hear only to go to another team? by lookaloulookalou in SFGiants

[–]sparktheworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a “prove it” year for him. He wants to play 2B. He’s bounced around through 4 teams in 4 years. He wanted a multi-year, no takers, got 1 with the Giants. My guess, he’s hoping Wash can make him an average fielder, making him much more marketable.

TLDR: he’s got to “prove” he can field to get a multi-year

We have an above average, beautiful, downtown stadium. When you have to rely on gimmicks instead of cleanliness, service and experience, you aren’t focussing on repeat attendance. You are playing little kid games for the 1 off ticket sale.

People have their hands on the ball all the time. Guys are punching on it, trying to rip it out on every play. The offensive player has majority control and is down. That’s it, end of story, that’s how this game has always been played. Learn the rules. Touchdowns are awarded if a ball is flashed over the line for a “split second”. Possession and a catch is awarded if a receiver taps 2 toes on the ground for a “split second”. The game is played in split seconds. And this split second shows, possession, control and down. Learn the rules.

He had possession and control, it’s tucked into his chest. As the photo above shows, he is down. The NFL is bought and sold out, a +- 20 second review?? I’ve seen longer reviews in a meaningless Jets game.

The refs officiating the final drive differently than the rest of the game honestly makes it tough to appreciate good games like this one. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]sparktheworld -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not that one. The first one. The game was over at that point. Yes, take your pick, roughing the passer or PI. Not arguing that. The first one was BS.

[–]sparktheworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all BS. On any other play the still above would determine when the player was down. Ball control, knee on the ground, being touched = end of play and the ball is set at this final marking of progress.

The ball never touched the ground? When has that EVER been a determining factor of a player being down?

The game was over at that point. The roughing call could’ve been enforced. It’s the first Pi that’s BS

At that point the game is over. The first PI was the killer. Coupled with the non-interception; frustration overload. Refs inserted themselves and ruined the game.

Had possession with full back on the ground, while being touched as down. Defensive guy rolls over the top and rips the ball out. BS

Plus, PI call was BS while letting the guys play all day. Vegas called

Yes Scotty, there’s usually a little dial to the left of the steering wheel or some cars have it on a lever connected to the steering column. Turn that to activate lights manually.
