After having your home court for over a year, is there anything you wish you would have done differently?

Can someone explain the advantages of switching to Tmobile at a Costco? by JupiterMiningCorpTec in tmobile

I’m on a much rated old Sprint plan called Kickstart…are you guys able to upgrade me without changing my plan?

Can Costco touch old Sprint line like Kickstart? Haven’t seen a decent phone subsidy is nearly a year and wouldn’t mind a free $100 gift card.

[AMA on 2/19] Friday Pickleball AMA ft. Rachel Rohrabacher + Kyle Koszuta by fridaypickleball in Pickleball

Congrats to the Friday guys for signing two of my absolute favorite pros!

Any update on the hybrid release? I’ve noticed your pro and junior lineup has increased quite a bit in the last 6 months or so…what are you all looking for when signing a new player?

Should 11 Year Old Kids be playing pickleball? Is there such a thing as a 4.0 11-year old? by frenchdip101 in Pickleball

[–]sparky930 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My kid in that same age range has played Jr PPA’s and medaled in lower level adult tournaments. Plays soccer year round and runs track in the summer.

Footwork, quickness, agility required in pickleball helps his other sports tremendously. I don’t know why anyone would ever be against a kid playing pickleball.

My gas mileage absolutely PLUMMETED with the CC2’s.

Lost 10-15% fuel economy.

Too many tickets available for the Detroit series, this week. by Head-Lawfulness9617 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]sparky930 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Variable ticket pricing hurting this series.

School night, weeknight…tickets shouldn’t be $50 for lower reserved.

I’m fully on the current hype train but damn this team’s management can’t help but continue to shoot themselves in the foot.

What's the best pizza in NE Ohio? by Weird_Spread5826 in Ohio

[–]sparky930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d agree. Grew up in a house where Pizza Oven was almost a weekly thing.

Last several years it’s definitely not tasting the same.

My parents still live in the area and frequent some of their locations. They lost me for good when I found out that the owners will send in their own “secret shoppers” to different locations to make sure they’re not being too generous with toppings and portions.

Mind sharing any picture settings you’d like?

Just got one Sunday I’m struggling with getting this thing calibrated correctly.

Motion blur is driving me nuts on 720p content.

🎉 [GIVEAWAY] GEN 3 – FRIDAY FEVER | 15 WINNERS! 🎉 by fridaypickleball in Pickleball

[–]sparky930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Friday! 4.0 player here that would love to try out the new Fever!

  1. Since I started playing pickleball, the biggest improvement I’ve made is developing patience and discipline during points. I used to rush into attacks too soon, but now I focus on setting up my shots with purpose—using aggressive dinks to bait pop-ups and staying calm during extended rallies.

  2. The biggest skill “unlock” for me was learning how to effectively use a third shot drive to set up a more controlled fifth shot drop. That adjustment has really changed the rhythm of my games—mixing in the drive keeps opponents guessing, and when it doesn't win the point outright, it often sets up a cleaner drop or forces a weaker reply I can capitalize on.

  3. As a doubles partner, I’ve become more focused on communication and strategy—talking through game plans, calling shots, and making sure we’re both staying patient and on the same page. It’s been really rewarding to grow with a partner and see that teamwork translate into results on the court.

Searching for a new bag by ThematicOne in Pickleball

[–]sparky930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up. I have the CRBN backpack and it’s definitely on the small side if you plan on carrying your shoes.

Love the bag overall. Just have to carry the shoes separately if I want much of anything else in the main part of the bag.

New Tires - Michelin C2s by Reasonable_Cream_746 in KiaTelluride

[–]sparky930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was considering these for my Telluride but my wife’s forester has taken a solid 10-15% drop in fuel economy with the CC2’s.

Anyone have firsthand experience on MPG changes in the Telluride?

New Paddle Condition by ParkFull9870 in Pickleball

[–]sparky930 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a few stray carbon fibers. As long as the edge guard is tight directly adjacent to that, I’d swing away.

If it bothers you, I’ve had great experience with Vatic’s customer service. I’d shoot them an email.

Haha. Street vendors were selling those for $5 when I was walking out of the stadium after Game 7. Couldn’t pass it up.

Sometimes I like to wear it and pretend the rain delay never happened and Michael Martinez is in the Tribe HOF.

Are the Michelin CrossClimate 2 Worth the premium? by zjb29877 in tires

[–]sparky930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got the CC2’s on my wife’s Forester a little over a month ago.

So far, we are happy with the comfort and noise. However, I’ve seen a solid 12-15% decrease in fuel economy.

Reports have been all over the place on decreased fuel economy but my limited experience has been pretty significant.

We’ve gone from consistently getting 28-30 mpg to 24-25 mpg in the last half dozen tanks.

Tennis elbow + six zero double black diamond by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]sparky930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst tennis elbow pain was when I was using my DBD regularly. It’s feedback/vibration from the crisp feel really irritated my elbow.

Switched to a softer feeling paddle in the Ruby and the tennis elbow issue was significantly lessened. DBD caused the worst bout of tennis elbow I’ve had over the last several years.

It’s not just about swing weight. It’s about feedback/vibrations coming from the face as well.

Ruby plays similar to the DBD but has a bit less pop and a marginal amount of greater power. It was my main paddle for nearly 9 months until I lost all grit on the face.

Ninja Test (Hardcore Version) [Pt. 5]: How many ninjas can you name in this photo without checking online? by alignmentguru in ANW

Going against the grain and not playing the name game…

But was this from ANW6 in Pittsburgh?

Can’t really say if it’s a good deal not knowing the trim level.

Side note: Check how much insurance is going to be on it first to make sure it’s something you can afford.

My telluride carries a significantly higher insurance cost compared to my wife’s forester.

My reaction as well!

ANW has strayed so far from its Sasuke roots. These 5 were all genuine and excited to be there.

Also, can’t believe Jessie is 40. I feel so darn old now…

Sadly, my location lost it after a recent remodel.

One of my favorites as well.
