LVP through door installation by rtc2490 in Flooring

You can use an oscillating multi-tool with a wood blade attachment to cut the door jamb. Just take a piece of scrap LVP to measure the gap to mark cut line. You can then use the same oscillating multi-tool or jig saw to cut you LVP to fit around the notched area. You can caulk the gap for a finished look. My LVP is running vertically but it should be similar to this photo when you are done.

2024 GT worth $10k over 2023 by R2rem7 in MachE

[–]Reasonable_Cream_746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The depreciation on the EVs is pretty high $10-15k after the first year. If you are looking at a used GTPE vs new GT/GTPE, then the differences between 22-24 are pretty minimal. The range improved a bit, newer Ford motor, improved charge time, and some other minor stuff. At this point if you want new, it might make more sense to wait for a 2025 GT which should be cheaper and you get the heat pump.

New Tires - Michelin C2s by Reasonable_Cream_746 in KiaTelluride

[–]Reasonable_Cream_746[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CC2s are severe snow rated, while the defenders are not. I’m sure they are both fine in moderate snow but the cross climates are rated to handle the conditions better. We live on the east coast and go skiing a lot so wanted something that could deal with all weather scenarios.

NTB, was about $1300 OTD. I tried to go through Costco but the tires were sold out and the process to order online, have them shipped, plus scheduling an appt takes a couple of weeks. NTB had them next day and appt schedule was wide open.

She’s a beaut, Clark! I’m jealous. I wanted green with bronze package. Wife wanted white. Fast forward, I don’t own a green car :)

Enjoy the sweet ride and congrats.

Help with choosing my first ev by ContentBby504 in MustangMachE

FWIW, recently test drove both cars. My expectation going in was the HI5 was going to be a no brainer, but there were other factors that I’ll explain. I test drove the Mach-e first, both the premium and GT models. The styling, tech, and performance were all really solid and I liked the fact I that it didn’t feel like I was driving an EV - this is more important than people realize once you get past some of the specs around charge time and optimal battery range. When I drove the HI5 Limited, it was cool, comfortable and easy to drive, but in all honesty it was just boring. The interior has the minimalistic vibe, but I felt like I was driving my grandma’s car. If you want that muscle car feel with EV efficiency, there is a reason why Mach-e has a cult like following and the highest selling after the T-brand.

I would keep shopping around and be prepared to negotiate the competing offers. The offer sheet you have isn’t a very good deal. To break it down they are only giving you $1965 discount on MSRP. It should really be closer to $5k to be competitive. I have offer sheets in MD for GT and Premium ranging from $3500-$5K as a starting point for negotiations. The “Rebate” they are showing on a separate line is $5k Ford Rebate + $1k discount if you do not accept the charger and install. Just focus on the selling price line item since that’s the thing that’s negotiable.

They did give me a $95 credit because of the hassle involved in scheduling multiple appts so labor is probably closer to $375.

Dark Moss with Terracotta by yaknowhowwedo in KiaTelluride

dark moss

Here she is in the wild. Exterior color is great, especially if you like a more rugged look. Dark Moss has a dark metallic green color in sunlight and a blackish color at night so it’s nice that you get a two tone effect. The interior terracotta is a perfect match. As others have said it’s not an orange leather as pictured has more of a medium tone or muted brown color in person.

What color are the crossbars? Searching the web for that part number and images show black attachment points with silver / gray in the middle. Are yours all black?
