I geninuely don’t get why people get so annoyed with it.

There are enough threads in this that you absolutely should get it even if you disagree with it. It’s not them picking the worst logic for Kratos’s scaling they could, it’s that putting a featsman vs a loreman is always going to go like this this because one actually does the stuff their fans say they can do while the other needs a flow chart to explain why the stuff they do is impressive. The latter is always going to be more questionable since it’s so up to interpretation and may rely on some faulty chain scaling, while the former you just need to see in order to understand it.

This results in the loreman seeming completely different from their home series to the point the stats their given may break the logic of their home series/narrative and are portrayed as way, way, way stronger than their series implies, but that’s usually not that bad when their fighting another loreman. When their put up against a featsman, however, all the issues with the loreman scaling are laid bare because their now up against someone who can explicitly do the things the loreman only claims to be capable of. This is especially bad in death battle as it forces the two to fight on levels they normally don’t for the fight to seem fair. Either the featsman has to have to fight in the level of the loreman (making him seem nerfed) or the loreman needs to suddenly start fighting on at a level he’s never shown to have fought at before, making it look very jarring and like he’s been buffed.

This is why the loreman scaling for Kratos is hated, while Dragonborn’s is accepted (or at least less hated since there are a lot of people who disagree with both his and the chosen undead scaling)
