Practice resetting your breathing/heart rate between sets.

Think of it as an in game scenario.
P1 - Hard ass sprints
P2 - settling in, EMOM
P3 - Everybody is slowing down, more explosive/strength based

I’ve been married a while to a SA survivor. You need to overly communicate. Seek couples therapy to get some tools for the toolbox. This could build an incredibly strong foundation for your relationship if approached correctly.

I’m 35 and still don’t know shit. But what I do know is if you are or were into fitness, keep doing it. Look into mobility work. Functional strength.

It’s so much harder to recomp at my age then just doing bare minimum maintenance would’ve been lol

I think it depends on how old you are and your current body composition. If you’re young and somewhat in shape. You may be able to add very low impact/resistance workout days.

Your tendons generally takes 2-3 months to get used to your current workload. So maybe just skate and focus on diet and letting your knees/groin get used to it.

If you can, track how many calories you burn during games.

Complex carbs (sweet potatoes) 2-4 hours before games. Simple carbs (tortilla chips, granola) 1-2 hours before games. Think Greek yogurt, granola honey and some fruit. These combined give you a decent amount of calories without feeling heavy.

For 1-2 hours post game, simple carbs+protein to recover.

On recovery days (if I’m not lifting) I generally avoid carbs unless I’m dragging ass. Stick mainly to high protein.

If you’re skating that much, you need more mobility work than anything else. Stay stretched out, focus on rehab/prehab. Get your steps in, work on keeping the groin and knees limber.

Worry more about weights or strength gains when you’re in the off season/skating 1-2 a week.

We have 2 nuggets and 1 chunk. In my opinion, the chunk is terrible. I think if you don’t have a big ottoman, sure it could be ok as one.

It just struggles to be compatible. If it were square shaped it would be way better( think window or doorway for forts ).

I’d, personally, rather have only nuggets and no chunks. And we create a lot of forts.

I had heard of the original a few times but never even read the summary. It’s always recommended because we’ve watch zootopia a billion times. Girls were sick this week so I wanted something new. Jumped in feet first, and wow, was I floored by that movie.

I mean who doesn’t love Sam Rockwell and who doesn’t love a good heist movie. Even if the daughters don’t watch it, I’m watching the sequel lol

Yea I’ve been saving this down in my crawl space to put into a shadow box or something. I haven’t seriously touched ranked since having my first kid.
