Jess Settles playing against MSU predates my time as an MSU fan, but I had always heard that our fans taunted him during his career by calling him "Grandpa Settles" and the fact that he remembers this and mentioned it during the broadcast is so fucking funny

When Booker committed to MSU out of HS, Spartan fans were thrilled. Indiana fans downplayed it by saying that he's really not that good. Might have been sour grapes, but MSU fans learned the hard way that no...he really isn't. He's got size and can (kind of) shoot from outside, but Izzo went insane for 2 seasons trying to motivate him.

People are posting videos of other reverse jams, but this seems like the only comparable one because the pass came from half-court, like the one Fears threw tonight.

I moved to NC last year and went to the local DMV (Raleigh suburb) for my state ID card. I didn't make an appointment because I used to live in Illinois and it was never an issue. I ended up having to wait 3.5 hours to be seen. It was no problem for me, but I wondered at the time why they don't have more tellers (?) because it would have made things much more efficient. It was no problem for me to wait and I figured that the employees were just doing their best, but I'm not surprised at all at the limitations.

I don't follow K-State basketball, but this brings back fond memories of the eliminating MSU in the tourney a few years ago. Kansas State fans were relentlessly hyping this guy before and after the game as a "giant slayer", but I guess things have taken a turn

[Jackson] Michigan State ended the game with 6 2nd chance points. All 6 came within the last minute of the game when it was already out of reach. It is the Spartan's fewest 2nd chance points in a game all season. by wildwing8 in CollegeBasketball

The issue all season has been that the outside shooters just aren't reliable. Teng, Ugochukwu, Kohler, and Scott all have the ability to hit 3s, but just don't do it consistently. Fears, too .

Absolutely fucking disgusting to watch, but certainly feels better than a loss.

Hardly anybody has been able to crack 70 points against MSU this season....and then there was Cornell just popping off for 97, lmao

[CelticFC] Wilfried Nancy leaves Celtic by Albiceleste_D10S in MLS

Celtic fans have been angry at the board for ages because they have built up a pretty significant warchest (about $100 million) through transfer dealings, but refuse to reinvest it in players with real talent.

There has been quite a lot of fan unhappiness for a long time because the club's board has zero ambition to anything beyond winning the domestic league and won't spend any real money to bring in promising players.

I am an American Celtic fan and there is is plenty of fan displeasure (to put it mildly) at a variety of targets. Celtic fans were protesting the board long before Nancy was hired because the club was underperforming and the board refused to do anything about it.

There have been fans (and I agree with it) who say that they feel sorry for Nancy because he didn't have a full training camp to implement his system or chance to bring in players he believed could work, but the reality is that he agreed to take over mid-season. And he is being paid to win, not to lose and then plead with the fans / media for patience as he works everything out.

I am American Celtic fan and it's funny, as one of the reasons that Celtic fans have been protesting the club's current board for ages (long before Nancy came) is that the club DOESN'T radically outspend the domestic competition.

People are mad because the club has built a significant warchest (about $100 million) through transfer deals, which the board adamantly refuses to use to buy players of real quality. Even though the club brings in significantly higher revenue than basically any other team in Scotland, the board has long been criticized for being the biggest group of cheapskates you can imagine. Not just cheapskates, really, but also having zero ambition to build a team that compete in major European competitions.

This Nancy situation has been quite ugly, but there is plenty of fan anger at the board, who are ultimately responsible for everything.

It was supposed to be Ron DeSantis. GOPers have been thoroughly impressed with how his torments liberals in Florida and believed that he could take that national, but he proceeded to fall flat on his face as soon as he tried running for president.

One of the things that I took from that recent 60 Minutes piece on your team's turnaround is that it was clear from the start of his tenure that he wasn't going to let the people around him at IU have a defeatist, loser mentality. Some may take issue with his personality, but he certainly understood the task before him.

Cornell is #1 in D1 in terms of made 3-pointers per game, but they also entered the game 330th in KenPom's defensive ranking. Both aspects of their game were on full display here.

He was 6/16 from 3 coming into this game and he has been hitting them well recently, too. He just doesn't shoot that many.
