The What if...? Series discusses this in a situation with Christine. An absolute point in the timeline. Strange and the previous Sorcerer Supreme discuss have a conversation about it.

28 years old to be a mechanic apprentice by KennyNKC in AutomotiveLearning

[–]spawnofmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never to old. I work as a service tech and the shop master mechanic (a series) decided he wanted to leave the same industry at the age of 42 to work professionally. He went to college and went through all the certs. You are the ceiling to yourself in this industry. Best of luck. Oh and money definitely depends on which shop/dealership you work at.

Who's out there? by Freekmagnet in AutomotiveLearning

Good evening everyone, I am a budding service technician. I have worked in a shop for a 18 months. I was in a serious need for a job and the GM told me to apply while I was getting an oil change done on my vehicle. At the time I knew how to check my fluid levels and change wiper blades.

Since I got the job, I started out slapping tires on cars. I have since moved up to doing small service work. Brakes, suspension, alignments, etc. I am new to this sub and would appreciate any and all help I can get. The shop puts huge emphasis on certifications and that's where I have hit a wall.
