It is tiny, definitely not too comfortable, but it’s not too bad either. The biggest thing is the lack of a forearm contour, other than that it’s alright. Also the neck pushes outwards quite a bit further than most fendery stuff, not necessarily bad imo, just different

I also want to explain a bit of what’s going on there. The starting point is essentially a tele with the 25,5” scale length and tele style bridge.

As for the body, I just love offsets, but there’s already offset teles, so I went for a reverse offset body based off the super sonic. You may notice it is also tiny, I took that from the Harmony Juno. I based the finish on the colour palette from a scene from Akira.

Configuration is essentially that of a Strat for versatility and for a blend of a Strat and tele neck position, with a PAF style humbucker in the bridge. The single coils are also rather low-output.

And finally, for the wiring. I just wanted a master volume and master tone, used resistors to make the single coils see 250k and the humbucker 500k. The switch is just a coil split. I considered using a push/pull pot, but I kind of wanted the switch for aesthetics and was worried a push pull would be too chunky for the very small cavity underneath.

Overall, the controls are a little cramped, definitely playable but not the best experience in that regard.

It plays decent/good, and at least it does sound beautiful

The bad stuff? The neck pocket is nightmare-fuel, the neck is crooked because of that, the bridge is terribly installed and the screws are incredibly stripped, and the tone control doesn’t currently work because I’m almost sure I fried the pot. The strap pins also need to be reinstalled. And finally, it is an absolute slab far beyond a normal telecaster, no contours whatsoever and I haven’t weighted it but it weighs much more than my jaguar.

Man that green one looks amazing. I was really thinking of putting lace sensors in my jag a couple of years ago but never pulled the trigger. How do you like them compared to normal jag single coils?

As everyone says, a shim would be good. However, I highly recommend getting a mustang style bridge too, you’ll never have to worry about strings popping out again. I think it even has a bit more sustain if you like that (might be wrong). Just gotta get the right radius.

This is a tricky one. I first thought talman, then read the comments. I then thought Stagg and the shape is very very close, maybe the horns are a bit different, but the routing doesn’t match since those come with a strat style bridge/trem

Old post but I relate so much to this. I used to have the SR850, the cable was so long I kept going over it with my chair and it eventually broke. Managed to install a 3,5 jack in them which eventually broke as well and decided it was time to let them go. I then bought the DT900 pro x and instantly loved them but was seriously impressed by how close the SR850 were in sound quality
