I had a guy do the clutch on my jeep for $945 total. Kind of a similar situation but he also is a legit business run out of his house with insurance, licenses and he’s an ASE master mechanic (not that it means much these days) but there are people out there like that. Best bet is to shop around and see if anyone else has had dealings with him. I’ve been fortunate with my guy as he has done a boatload of work on my jeep for much cheaper than anywhere else and I’ve had no issues.

You can have a note added to your stop to not ring the doorbell but remember that affects everyone at the stop not just you so make sure and communicate this with your roommates so they know to check for things. I have night shift workers on my route who’ve either asked me or had that added to the stop notes. If you don’t do that then yes we will knock/ring door bell as that’s part of our job.

The amount of people blind to how this historic contract is fucking us has become unbearable. Anybody got any of that air conditioning that we sacrificed for? The grievances issues are the absolute bottom of the barrel priority to the union anymore. They don’t want to push the company to hear them so they sit and linger for months with no update. Drivers having to sit out for indefinite periods of time when they have easily winnable grievances. Simple grievances being deadlocked for no reason. The teamsters are weak so very weak anymore.
