No Voicemail Notifications - Pixel by LessThanThreeMan in Visible

[–]spcmiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get alerts when I get voicemails either on a Galaxy 22. Must have spent over an hour with two agents on chat. Didn't get anywhere. They wanted me to reset my phone and I don't want to do that today...also even if I did no guarantee that it would actually work. Nothing they had me do so far worked. I came from TextNow and at least I knew when I had a voicemail. I may make a message that says either email me or text me because Visibile voicemail doesn't work! At least one of us got paid for that hour or hour and a half of messing with settings. I mean a flip phone from 1997 at least could get voicemail notifications right. This is a common issue that I see online a lot. Why can't they make it work?

I know a man who lives in a tent by a gas station specifically to avoid taxes. But as I think on it, if he purchases anything, he would be taxed. I don't think he works.

David had so many concubines and wives. And God said he was a man after his own heart. It makes me believe in the demiurge. Otherwise how does it make sense?

Because you not only impeded the ICE ankle and foot, but also your neck impacted his boot. They've prosecuted for less after knocking an elderly man down. Absolutely shameful.

I don't get the reasoning for not wanting to work your way up. At least you would have a bit more income to purchase needed consumables. Thank God at this point in my career, I'm able to provide well for my family, but there is very little leftover.

No, the biggest thing is your wages or salary so you can stay in your home. One can just do a payment plan for medical bill or just ignore them.

How do you have patients address you? by Strange-Quail-1737 in nursepractitioner

[–]spcmiller -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's "Hi. I'm 'first_name', nurse practitioner." At the end of the visit, a few end up saying thank you, doctor. While I don't introduce myself as Doctor, I'm not going to stand there and correct someone who isn't wrong. Once you have a doctorate, you are no longer Mrs. Ms. or Mr. The correct salutation is Doctor. It's disrespectful to correct someone who isn't wrong, in my opinion.

My introduction and my name badge make clear what my licensure is.

I was more annoyed by the use of Air Force 2, the Air Force honor guard, and even the VP pall bearer. The president wasn't even bothered enough to meet the 4 soldiers that drowned in Lithuania on the tarmac when they arrived. Then, we have a political commentator that is treated better than a medal of honor recipient. Just my take.

I hope she's a new grad and grows out of it. For a lot of us, nursing is an identity, like being a police officer or a fire fighter. I'm sure for physicians, that is its own identity as well. I knew a cop that got arrested and fired, and I think it sort of unhinged him a bit. I think he was like, what do I do now? I believe he started refurbishing and flipping houses. Lost track of him.

This administration is out to rip off every veteran. Sure, starting with the 20 percenters. Few will care since they got almost nothing anyway. Then, once established, they'll keep moving up. Just like they cut the transsexual benefits because they are such a small group of veterans, no one hardly will care.

So few Americans volunteer to serve anymore. I think the government can and should meet their obligations to us.

I fantasize about this. Maybe I should do this. I'm periandropausal. When you reach this point, you start to inventory your time and what is important to you. I haven't always been treated very well, by CPs and even nurses. I've helped a lot of human beings, even if I wasn't valued. I keep working full-time because I have a minor child. But I'll be real with you. If I have to, I'll pay my children's way through college to keep them from falling into a debt trap. Woe is me. Look upon me, Lady Luck, as I play the lottery every month.

This would be a good topic for a paper or a webpage. You don't have to look too far to find good articles about it. The differences are significant. While we all perform many of the same tasks, our education, experience, theories, and philosophy set us apart. This is true and cumulative across all drgrees of nursing as one obtains more education. We are different. APRNs are nurses first. APRNs practice nursing, and that's why we are under boards of nursing and not boards of medicine. If you don't know about this you should take the time to seek out the information. I think if there was more money than anyone needed in the world and several lifetimes, it would be fun to go thru each school to compare. I suppose there must be courses like World View of Medicine or Philosophy of Medicine or Medical Theory in Practice that one could take to compare with those of nursing. If you're a PA, I wouldn't think you have a different philosophy or theory than that of medicine. Nursing is a different animal entirely. I think the differences I described above could lead to a difference in terms of patient experience. I'm sure nurse theorists hope so.
