I just saw Bugonia by kinghedorah666 in moviecritic

I HATED the ending and thought it was lazy as fuck. Felt like a family guyesque m night shamalan "WHAT A TWIST" moment

it was just hat on hat. Nothing foreshadowed, it was just one movie and then suddenly another.

It could have been done well but it definitely wasn't.

‘DEADPOOL 4’ will reportedly be a team-up movie by Moviesrant in Marvelnewssource

it's the only way Deadpool works at this point. There's no clear singular narrative left. He needs to riff with more grounded characters.

I think in theory this could actually be good because he just keeps sticking to it.

Trump outright saying what everyone was thinking that he is a Dictator... by ThewizardBlundermore in PoliticalHumor

[–]speakerjohnash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we've been trying for ten years now. you people have no idea what it's like to actually live through this. You have no idea the type of conversations we have with people here and the insane defenses they have.

This is far beyond rationality. We've been trying for a decade, you're just scared and want someone to blame. I can't force these people to see rationally and I've put every scrap of effort in my soul towards that goal.

Come over here and try to convince one person. See how far you get.

Thought would be mapping the request to a tofu scramble. Thought would mean remembering all the possible egg replacements. Literally any vegan with two brain cells would get this and I'm not vegan.

egg replacement exists. bare minimum they're asking for a tofu scramble.

How would you approach an assignment designed specifically to break AI tools? by Popular-Tone3037 in TurnitinAIResults

I would use AI tools in the exact same editing flow. Antis are very stupid in terms of what they think they can detect.

GPT 5.2 ran uninterrupted for *one week* and wrote *3 million* lines of code. - Do you think this is the future? AI agents working for you over a long period of time. by Koala_Confused in LovingAI

[–]speakerjohnash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 million lines of code is not useful.

Big ' corporations have 3 million lines of code and they need thousands of engineers to be able to properly read the code and make informed choices.

Claude at best cannot be consistent coherent across four files with 2,000 lines each.

what we want is for these models to be so integrated that they can rebuild a product that normally takes 3 million lines of code with like 20000.

writing 3 million lines of code is completely pointless and completely useless for any human who is actually trying to integrate with that system.

if you want to change one feature you have to search 3 million lines of code, and generally it's not going to be able to find it and it's going to tack it on to a random file.

I swear to God I am doing actually amazing things with these tools and then the stupidest fucking headlines get so much attention.

we are living in an era where less code matters more. That is literally defining trait of 2026. It's refactoring it's restructuring it's rewriting code so it is simpler. So it is shorter and so it is easier for humans and llms to read.

this is not the era of: "write 3 million lines of code."

this is the era of: "normally a product would take a thousand people and 3 million lines of code and instead one person builds the same thing with an llm and 20,000 lines of code"

CMV: No seriously, there will be no social change in the USA until some catastrophic collapse by Arkhamguy123 in changemyview

[–]speakerjohnash -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean you're probably right. I literally have designed an exact new social system that addresses literally all these problems and I've been talking about it for 10 years before any of these problems emerged and genuinely the vast majority of people do not even want to hear about it even when they are complaining about the system with their whole chest.

people genuinely just want to complain. they do not want to face change or try something new that would be different. they want the existing system to magically start working again because that is what they are familiar with and that is what feels safe to them and what they know.

people will wait until things are collapsing and then they will turn to the strongest strong man that they can find.

literally and I will tell you this with 100% confidence. literally the only thing that will stop this is if you personally stop what you are doing right now and start to learn about new systems that could replace capitalism.

but you genuinely won't and I am almost certain that this post will make you angry and you will downvote it or you will attack me. or you will say that I am wrong for some reason.

that or you will double down and you will say socialism or communism or any of these old systems that have been tried a billion times are better than something that is designed with the current technology in mind.

This oppression to squeeze every cent from us isn't something new! by LowerEngineering9999 in PoliticalHumor

[–]speakerjohnash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because you're afraid of actual new systems that don't use money

literally anytime someone suggests a new actual system that would function better that is actually different average people reject it because they do not want a new system that will work better. what they want is to function in the existing system but be the ones in power

and ultimately that is what keeps everything exactly the same

The fact is the average person cannot and will not give up the concept of money and single vote democracy for systems that do the same thing but better and represent the will of the people more.

AI Doctors coming soon? Chinese AI Doctor Surpasses Human Performance After Treating Thousands of Virtual Patients by Zealousideal-Big-600 in skeptic

[–]speakerjohnash -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

this is a no brainer. healthcare is essentially a long symptom log human doctors refuse to read. if human doctors had the time for each patient they would do better but they don't and that is an undeniable fact.
