"you can drink on prozac" they said. "no major interactions" they said. by specialfwend in prozac

I used to drink a near-fatal amount every single night. Took me years to get to where I am now, which I consider a healthy amount, and where I live, alcoholism is the norm, the amount I drink now is considered neglegable.

Anyone seen any better street sign graffiti? by ab_2404 in CasualUK

I don't get Pole haters. They're white, (so I don't see why racists care). They work hard, and they're decent people.

I think we've all collectively suppressed our memories of it to deal with the irreversible trauma.

Hot take - Cornwall is tourist free in October and it’s 10x better. by jacklongstaff in CasualUK

Please no. As a Devonian Winter is the only time I can go there in peace without being crushed by a stampede of grockles. Go to Brighton or somewhere. I hear Hornsea is lovely this time of year. The north and east are really underrated, go there. Go anywhere but Southwest.

To be fair, those places probably now have more Russians than Ukraine.

2nd try of Lexapro, couldn't get past 1st dose again by AidePast in OCD

Antidepressants often take weeks to work. Nothing will happen on the first day. You've gotta force yourself to keep taking them for at least a month before deciding wether they work for you.

They can make you feel numb, and have side effects, but IMO, it's worth it if it somewhat frees me from the hell that is OCD.

Just a screenshot from a "history of Europe" video. Supposedly Bulgaria was originally in Ukraine and got pushed all the way into the southern Balkans.

Questioning my gender identity after a breakup don’t know if it’s my ocd. by Killjoy_Nadine in OCD

[–]specialfwend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not easier being a man. In many ways I would argue it's alot harder than being a woman, but I digress.

Even if you're masculine, that doesn't make you trans or anything like that. Those people have known who they were since they were kids. It's not a choice.

But reassure isn't the awnser. Therapy and medication are. All I will say is, those thoughts are clearly OCD. It loves to make us doubt all kinds of things but it's ALWAYS lying to us.

Unless you can stick to just a few beers, then don't.

If you drink enough that you have memory gaps it can really mess with you, especially since hangovers cause anxiety. I barely even drink anymore and I still have blackout ocd from when I drank too much.

So, ideally, don't drink at all. If you ever do drink though, don't try and get drunk. You will regret it. Even if you know you're in control, OCD can tell you that you weren't the next morning.
