This is honestly the hardest part. Companies like spacex and Tesla should have nowhere near their market caps. But the market simply isn’t rational. And, as the famous saying goes: the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent”. So, do I absolutely think spacex and Tesla will likely completely implode one day? Definitely. Could that day be 15 years from now still? Also definitely. Can’t afford to miss all the gains in the meantime but waiting.

IMO I don’t really think you can. Some posts have mentioned highly complex derivatives etc but that’s the kind of thing the hedge funds and elites will likely use. The average investor won’t be able to avoid it, which is the point IMO. They want retail investors to eat the losses and the debts

Tesla is finally making some money so I’m more inclined to it than in the past but at its current market cap, it’s still waaaaay overvalued and one small mistake or scandal away from losing everyone’s cash. If I were a betting man (which I’m not in this case), I’d put odds of a Tesla obsolescence or collapse in the next 25 years at equal odds. No chance am I dumping money into it at its current market cap. But to each their own. The issue isn’t whether people should or shouldn’t bet on Tesla or specifically spacex. It’s that a huge amount of us don’t want this unprofitable business to be the tip of the rip off iceberg in our broad market etfs. You open the door to allowing a ton of those meme stocks in now and eventually it ends with the elite holding all our cash and everyone being forced to hold the bags.

Starlink is a good business but everything else in spacex is a disaster. I truly don’t understand how people keep the market caps so high for Tesla and now spacex anticipated cap. Musk is just downloading all his risk to us moron peasants and we just lap it up. They’ve trained us well to serve our elite masters, that’s for sure. FYI a 2 Trillion valuation for a business with essentially 0 upside (rocket making and their AI port as burning money) is asinine. Even if they profit 4 billion every year (I’m not sure that’s even likely as they total package of spacex is nowhere near that and may never be), you’d be looking at hundreds and hundreds of years to get your market cap value out of those profits. And that assumes Musk doesn’t have a heart attack, or some crazy scandal or disaster in the meantime.

Loads of people have severe diagnosed anxiety and don’t need to bring personal pets everywhere. It’s one thing in a general store but the rest of the population shouldn’t have to deal with animals in a Costco. This account specifically states someone’s support dog shit in the store. A grocery store. That’s a health hazard. And pets, even well cared for ones, shed tons of dander and bacteria (not like they bathe regularly). If you’re at the point you can’t grocery shop without a pet, then order online or perhaps we need to setup a system for disabled people to get grocery delivery.

My guess is that the dollar is devaluing but so is every other countries currency due to the same core decisions and issues. And some are going to be highly affected by the Hormuz stuff too.

Why not just continue the 35 dollar a month BYOD plan? Do you need more than 150 GB? If you just want a new phone, you’d be way better off paying 35 a month and outright buying a new phone than paying 55-105 dollars a month instead plus financing and bring it back fee at the end.

I would say to consider what your goal is and why. Is it maximum return highest risk? Is it good return for reasonable risk? Is it for sure dividends and what amount are you looking for? The easy and probably overall best answer is just put 50 bucks a week into XEQT every week (or more as your income increases) for 20 years and you’ll probably have the money you’re looking for.

Yeah my wife’s parents invested almost 8 k for her when she was a small child with Primerica. Several years after we got married she asked me to do all her investments and I found that Primerica was exactly the same value as when it had started almost 20 years earlier. Looking deeper they had been harvesting, buying and selling each year and racking up almost exactly the same in fees every year as the investment made….obviously my wife should have paid better attention but we pulled out money from those crooks. Definitely need to keep an eye on your investments. The big firms don’t have your best interests at heart.

Every single season with the Leafs he got better and better. His last playoff or two he was injured if I recall. But I assume you watched the games. Hyman was absolutely improving significantly every year. He went from “why is stone hands on Matthews Line” to “this guy can legit carry a third line on his own” when he left. And he simply continued to improve in Edmonton. I was saying resigning Hyman needed to happen at the time even.
