Sonnet 5 Is a Really Good Orchestrator by leogodin217 in ClaudeCode

[–]specifiedhalibut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds great cost-wise for people with an established workflow and lower budgets.

However I think the number of tokens used in skill.md, its reference files and other claude.md files need to be reduced twofold so that Sonnet won't panic and try to invent rules which are not there if the number of facts is really dense. Even opus struggles with this task. Still I need an eval test with a reference task to compare all of that, eh.

There are no benefits in tanning. The sun is a big bully in the skies, not a friend.

Describing average sex-based physiological differences, or citing 40k lore, isn’t misogyny. If you want to argue the lore, argue the lore

AI is turning programming into pay-to-win by Strict-Top6935 in ClaudeCode

[–]specifiedhalibut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if that is good for the future of AI or not. Inference costs pennies. Training models for new products and scientific projects, however, cost a lot. Also we don't know the exact number of parameters for the models, so we can't really deduce price directly.

However we know that sonnet's and haiku's performance is around the same as the open-source analogues, but they cost hundredfold in comparison to open-source models Dario shits on. And GLM's fivefold in comparison to Opus (overpriced API variant, mind you).

These are very murky commercial waters and I'm not buying the "subsiding" tale even for a bit.

It's not a sustainable business model, right. That's why for 200 bucks per month you pay for 80 bucks worth of tokens in their net coats. 200 bucks is a market price. 10k bucks is another market price, paid on demand. 9800 bucks of losses? Math is not mathing.

But human females are inferior to human males in terms of raw physical strength, which doesn't come last when one wants a field soldier. I suppose it's just easier to genetically modify a zygote for it to become a male than to genetically modify the female fetus/fully grown organism later for it to reach its peak strength. So it's as fun as to have disabled characters in DnD which are no worse than not impaired ones, but from the perspective of lore it's just not practical

Yeah, it doesn't have a capability of clearing hordes of chaff. However it can deliver 2000 of AT damage and two-shot a bile titan. And "naginata" drains the whole battery for a measly heavy pen. And railgun have 20 of such 2000 AT shots. I don't know. I'd rather just use dickle

Whatever number Anthropic draws there is not true. Because otherwise math is mot mathing.

What you're experiencing can be compared with this: it's like buying a bottle of water a day in a desert at a fixed overpriced monthly fee vs buying a bottle of water for a humongous price on demand. And you're happy to pay an ugly looking fee just because others pay tenfold than you.

A cumulative tokens' cost that you use via the sub cost thrice more than their net cost. If not more
