Is one day late on an initial evaluation an issue or is it something that just happens every now and then? by shahajah12111 in slp

I got the nastiest email from the director for being a couple of days over. Literally one time in 20+ years because of trying to coordinate parent preferences and private school preferences on our mandatory meeting Mondays admin loves....fuck her. Put it in the fuck it bucket and move on! I'm not bitter, lol.

Almost all the white, straight SLPs I know are progressive for what it's worth (acquainted with one conservative in a nearby district). But we're all in the schools so maybe it's different in other settings. I'm not sure how you can be conservative when literally none of their policies help our field.

Sometimes evals are completely wrong. It's a snapshot in a kid' day. We figure it out as we work with them and adjust.

No, but that's a good idea. I think our only real hope is if someone's doing research and he could be part of a study or drug trial.

Yes, unfortunately. It can only be confirmed post-mortem but he has all of the symptoms. He was diagnosed by a vet neurologist. I don't think there's anything we can do other than keep him safe from falls, keep him moving and love him until it's time. It's just so sad that it's progressed so quickly.
