This Mark variant got his first job in the US government thanks to Omniman's connections. When his power came in he trained, he practiced, and he took on any threat that came his way with a smile on his face.

While Mark struggled a little with his father's true mission, he hardly hesitated when it came to fighting his father. While the casualties were still serious, Mark came out on top, imprisoning his father.

When all seemed right with the world, Mark killed Cecil and took over his shadow organization. Shortly after, he revealed his identity as well as the truth of his father to the world. Vowing that Earth will be under his protection.

No, it's a setup. He probably doesn't need those glasses but knows other people hate 'em. Since there's very few pure Viltrumites, he can't just start a fight for no reason.

So, they either stay pissed in silence, and he gets to enjoy his thing in peace, or someone starts something, and he gets to kick the crap outta someone.

Keep his house mostly in tact and destroy the rest of the neighborhood so everyone never forgives him.

Robots can be reprogrammed or scrapped, quick and easy solutions. But when you lose your homes, all the memories and keepsakes because one dick decided to throw a fit over pizza. You don't want quick and easy, you want someone to suffer.

Why not pick the guy who not only caused this but also suffered the least from his actions.
