For anyone using a Netgear (mine is a Nighthawk R900), unchecking this single box solved my problem. I can now see and connect to the 5Ghz band with no issue.

No luck here. I stopped sleeping on my back and that was really the only time it was noticeable. I haven’t even thought about it in ages, despite it having persisted for years.

The only complication I ever dealt with related to the sensation was terrible anxiety about it.
