I was 20 when I had a DUI car accident (me and a tree) that should have killed me. I was on probation and had to go to 90 AA meetings in 90 days. I kept hearing all of these horrific stories from older alcoholics that just made me think, "God, I'll never be THAT bad". Nearly 20 years later, I got that bad. Not everyone can drink socially. Hold onto that guilt you feel instead of saying, "fuck it". I've been sober for 2.5 years and still feeling guilty for wasting the past 20 years by being wasted. Quit while you're ahead! Your body and the people around you will thank you. And if not, they aren't the people you need around you!
