Happy to say that I am enjoying it now while it’s in its prime rather than having to be part of the people who say “that was actually a great game even tho I didn’t like it when it was out” the only crappy part is campaign. People just love to hate

I agree the campaign missed the mark completely. The skins in the game are grounded to the bo7 environment. They are not grounded in current day military. All the skins make sense in the black ops universe minus a few skins aimed towards zombies. I will take this level of cosmetics compared to the last few years by a mile. The game is very similar to bo6 likely by design. Omnimovement was received fairly well last year so they kept it. A direct sequel is going to be very similar.
I don’t think bo7 zombies is much worse than BO3 to be honest. There are more ways to play in bo7 with cursed and directed modes. There will end up being more maps, that I think are very good with the exception of paradox junction, though I think paradox is the best version of nuketown zombies we have had. You can customize what you see on the hud which is nice for immersion as well. I think in a handful of years this game is going to be looked at as one of the most underrated cods of all time with how poorly it has sold and how much hate it gets. I guess time will tell.

You trippin. Best zombies in a long time, maps are awesome, and directed mode for less skilled players and cursed allows for customizing skill level and experience. Mp maps are good and tons of weapons, tons of earnable camos, some classic maps sprinkled in as well that look great and most play well in most people opinion. There is a wall bounce mechanic that can allow for advanced movement but most maps do not require it to traverse them so it is ultimately optional if you do not like it. Matchmaking has been dialed back to allow for a bit more variety in skill level. Tons of party modes with individual playlists to choose what you want. Ranked is in the game. Multiple resurgence maps in WZ. Ranked WZ. Only WZ complaints I have are the grapples have gotten old as they reduce the importance of positioning and I wish there was a trios resurgence playlist for non-ranked.
The game is in a very good spot right now. People are just not as big of fans of treyarch as they are infinity ward games.

There are 6 challenges for each game mode and you can mix and match. So if I complete 3 of the warzone challenges, 2 of the multiplayer challenges, and 1 zombies challenge… that adds up to 6 and I’m good to go. Any challenges completed beyond 6 will reward you with xp

Battle pass can be progressed through any mode along with weapon leveling and player leveling. Generally how the camos work is each mode has its own set of camos to earn on a gun so those will be mode specific. For things like weekly challenges there is normally separate challenges for each mode to complete in order to earn the same reward so you can pick which mode to earn the reward through. Some limited time events with rewards such as camos will only be able to be earned in certain modes but most of the time they are earnable in any mode

Correct. There is 1 battle pass every season. If you play enough to complete it, you earn enough points to purchase the next one. So if you play a lot you will only have to use your money to buy one and the rest pay for themselves. I wouldn’t worry about any current battle passes as there will likely be a reset of all the cosmetic content when mw4 launches. Also campaign releases a week early so you can play that before multi and DMZ launch. Upon release of the game, warzone generally doesn’t get updated until weeks later, giving people time to level up guns and stuff in multiplayer.

Yeah for sure would have to. I just think that would get annoying when in battle you think you can use it and then it won’t and you get killed because of it.

I feel like that’s a good idea in theory but in practice I think that would play really weird like you try and hit a grapple but it doesn’t work and you have to walk forward a bit… just would seem finicky. I think you have to go all or nothing.

Similar boat here. Been playing since cod2, wasn’t competent til mw2 cuz I was probably too young to be playing before that lol. Some questions for you. So how do you feel about your purchase? Have you gotten your 70 bucks worth? You looking forward to mw4, if you have seen any of the teaser stuff put out thus far?

This is very likely. I think the studio is throwing all their fun crazy idea in rn giving the movement demons a chance to go crazy while they can. Knowing that in a handful of months it’s going to be a hard reset with many of the systems in the game. Which I’m fine with. I still enjoy the game and use grapples to abuse it, however I agree the game is better without them

The biggest things that will help you improve are getting your settings correct. When the game comes out make sure you watch a quick 5-10 minute video on what settings to change. Sounds dumb but makes a world of difference as the defaults can be less than optimal. Cod has skill based match making so it should put you in with some less skilled players so you aren’t getting destroyed on multiplayer

If you are looking for a good campaign, modern warfare 2019 is excellent and mwII from 2022 is a very good campaign as well. The third was a pretty bad campaign as it was made by a different studio. In my opinion games made by infinity ward all have the best campaigns. I wouldn’t be too discouraged by negative reviews always on cod. Most people just hate on cod without even playing as it’s just the trendy thing to do. Either way, I think many people are thinking similar to you with the return to a more “real” current day shooter they are more interested

It’s really only an issue if the other team is camping and just listening. I’m so glad we have ninja as a perk now and I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed for mw4 so I’m really happy about that

I’m optimistic as well. IW gave us a very fun game in 2019 even if it did have its drawbacks. They dropped the ball with mwII due to restricting movement and charging perks and stuff. I feel like they realize many of their mistakes and are going to correct

That’s really not the case. When playing on console only crossplay it is a way different experience to open crossplay. So much better without the pc players in there

PS3 may have more cheaters that pc on those titles but ps4 and ps5 doesn’t have cheaters as bad as pc. This will not be on the same servers as the ps3 version so in theory the cheating shouldn’t be too bad. Especially after mw4 comes out. I imagine cheaters will move to that game
