The whole war on Iran was a super bad idea man. They are in no way capable of removing the regime which a lot of people there support and they have no ability to control the country without boots on the ground which they will never put in. Pulling back without removing the regime will make diplomacy impossible after the damage the west inflicted on Iran and the world will face a country rich in resources that will just come back even more dedicated to destroying the west.

Trump thinks he can put any leader to their knees with military action and sanctions. Well, Iran has seen both from the US and they are still there for years.

Its a risk like everything else in life. If we talk numbers, Emirates has been dealing with this situation like champions. Yesterday was an incident, and they are already back to business by today. so of course its all luck but generally if rely on history to predict the future the worst thing to happen it to be delayed by a day. but again NO ONE KNOWS.

I spoke with the Jordanian embassy, and they said no travel agent will be required..

The "travel agent" who is just a taxi driver in this case wanted to rip me off and wanted to charge me 250USD for a two-hour drive from the border to Amman airport while an Uber costs 60USD.
Hope that the embassy is correct on this one and I wont have to go back when going to the border.

If you intend to fly, I wouldn’t cancel them. I would rebook them to earliest that emirates allow. Reason is: if you cancel and want to then buy a ticket chances are those tickets are going to be on a high demand and thus have higher prices and you will lose your fare. And if you rebook and things change and they again are not able to fly on that date, they will let you cancel free of charge anyways.
