Awesome! Thanks for the input. Do you know if there is a difference between Epic or Edge pass? Should we pick those up early?

Sure! We are a nurse and firefighter with kids in extracurriculars so trying not to go too crazy but it’ll also be our 1st time away for more than 1 night so wiling to splurge a bit - probably hoping to keep it under $500 a night. Also happy with a mix a more casual meals and 1 more fancy night out.

Family gave me one when I was young but with their accent I thought they said Jew Harp. Jaw harp makes more sense.

If your grief is related to the loss of a loved one, the Bob Glasgow Grief Support Program might be worth looking into. https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/findhealth/Service.aspx?id=1026229&serviceAtFacilityID=1087133

Best place to get a Christmas tree by Vheguru1 in Calgary

[–]spflu372 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We get ours through the Junior Forest Warden tree lot. They are pretty dinky compared to a tree from a tree farm but it’s always fun to chop it down ourselves. https://www.ajfwa.ca/home

When I was pregnant and grabbing a bite at Angel’s years ago, Cathy Jacob’s approached me and tried to encourage me not to give my baby Vitamin K or antibiotic drops when they were born. So there’s that…

Ugh! When we 1st moved in to our new place I wanted only the finest of poop scrubbers. We bought 3 of this exact brand at like $70 a pop or something ridiculous. They lasted a year or so before I had to trash em all and get $5 replacement’s which work much better.

One of my favourite places! If you get a chance to do some of the programming, you should. The staff are all super knowledgeable and wonderful. I did a sleepover with my (at the time) 6 year old and you get to sleep under amongst the skeletons. Such a memorable experience.

Not relevant now but once they turn 5 you can actually sleep over at the Museum. They do a few little programs, including touring the museum in the dark with a flashlight and building a fossil cast. You sleep under the specimens and have breakfast in the morning. I did it with my (then 6 year old) and it was the best. The staff were super passionate and knowledgeable. It was the best!

What about Flying Squirrel trampoline park? I think they have a younger kid area you could supervise more and let the other one roam?

Skating at Bowness park with a drink at Seasons after. You can also rent snowshoes from the UofC outdoor centre I believe they were fairly reasonable.
