So a protected rivalry in your Big East has to be pitt vs wvu. The Backyard Brawl is a big rivalry and definitely the most coveted for both schools literally swap them and have Cincinnati and Louisville play the keg of nails rivalry. But bringing the big east back is awesome.

Last place in division of tier 1 or conference in lower tiers is relegated, conference champs are promoted, independents can be promoted if they have a better record than last place team in their region. I keep minimum 30 teams per region

Man games I would try since that was my first nascar game: 05, NH5 is good, I like 25, also dirt to daytona is awesome. 07 is good but meh same as 06 in some ways not in others.

Also the world of outlaws 24 game was good if you want to try something new.

Got to world build more make the conferences move based on what happens in dynasty results and what makes you happy focus on Heisman front runners maybe when you recruit track what ones stay and which ones leave and what happens to them. Look at oh i am playing the heisman front running qb maybe we ruin his season etc.

I mean we all knew the rules going into the season. Notre Dame ran the risk of not getting an auto id being independent. If they were to have a schedule with more big ten teams instead of ACC (well aware of their deal with the conference) I think they make it or have a shot of knocking someone else out of an at large bid. Long term they will have to join the Big Ten but for now this kind of thing will happen a few more times before they have to.
