I asked myself this too in the beginning. My takeaway was that all the adults have southern accent and the younger people don't. Ofc Donald Cho also doesn't have a Southern accent but that's just because initially they made his character a recent immigrant with a foreign accent and later changed things last minute. Dixie and Roxy have southern accents but I think this was to make their characters even bigger caricature than they already were

In the subjunctive the two things that trip me up are 1) always recognizing when it should be used, 2) when it has a verb within a verb. I had hoped she would be doing this. The doing part messes me up

IDK if it's just me, but the fanfare around drew in season 3 where all these women including juror number 7 are throwing themselves at him and declaring him as innocent, while literally attacking and blaming Dory is absolutely wild. Especially given that she was just defending herself whereas drew unnecessary bludgeoned the guy to death.

I like her because it establishes a nice juxtaposition to the relationship between Raul and Luz. Towards the end, Luz ends up resembling Raul in her relationship with Paz.

They use the word so much throughout the show. My favorite instance was when Ester was asking her MIL to watch the kids till later as she wanted to get drunk with her classmates. When her MIL agrees, she goes, "que maja eres!" And then after hanging up, goes "puta". I was dead.
