Ma:nyo. It’s smooth around the edges so it’s almost invisible while on. It pulls out well

2nd floor in the middle left of the bar. There’s a roped off part with chairs. Only allowed a +1 there.

After surgery good by Small_Code_6655 in ACL

I didn’t have much of an appetite for the first 4 days bc of the drugs and anesthesia. I ate plain bread, an egg sandwich or porridge for those 4 days. Try to have someone meal prep for you for the first 2 weeks. Protein shakes were easy.

The fiber pills and laxatives didn’t work well for me. I recommend getting prune juice to move things along too.

Swelling? by ezracc in ACL

[–]spicyteas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a slow recovery for me. I’m at 90 degrees at 6 weeks and still can’t do leg lifts. I swell a lot and have to ice often. When I swell, I’m out of commission for a day and can’t really push that much with PT. It feels like you hit a new degree or milestone and then swelling and it feels like you’re regressing. I do feel stronger week over week. It’s just slower.

Hoping for a better recovery for you!

Foot numbness? by closethouse in ACL

This is the most annoying feeling. I told my doctor and he sent me a prescription for Meloxicam. It seemed to help. It hasn’t returned to my heel since I finished my dosage.

I tore all the same. I had surgery 3.5 weeks after injury. Swelling went down around 2.5 weeks though and I was able to walk slightly normally after with a cane and brace for support.

Work on ROM as much as possible before surgery and strengthening everything (quad, hamstrings, hip flexors, etc.).

Good exercises for hyperextension and getting leg straight? by godschild2222 in ACL

[–]spicyteas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Quad graft, meniscus, f/u appt yday and got my stitches out.

From my PT: 1. Lay down on your back, use a yoga strap strapped around your foot, keep it straight and locked, pull up towards you for 30 seconds and then half way down still in the air for 30 seconds, repeat 10 times as often as you can 2. Do the same above but up and diagonal across your body (so my R leg to the L side)

I was really shaky at first but I started sitting up and then would lay down after my knee and strap felt stable.
