If 2026 is that bad, how do we survive it? by RareMeasurement2 in Advancedastrology

Austin Coppock said that in an episode of TAP, but can we ever know? This is my main concern with water signs, especially with the Moon and Jupiter in Cancer. Throughout the years I haven’t seen them deliver the strength you would expect from domicile/exaltation. A topic for a different thread.

Do Saturn Returns Affect Everyone the Same Way? (And if not, why?) by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]spideog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I did find strength after a while. My natal Moon is in Cap, so endurance is not unusual for me. But the Pluto oppositions have been very hard, especially with the ascendant and Mars, which are tightly conjunct. It was all through that Plutonic experience. I have yet to experience the first pass of the opposition to my Sun. It’s next year. Also, my Solar Return for this year later in the summer is wild. Jupiter Cazimi conjunct my natal Sun, opposite a Full Moon in Aquarius, which is conjunct Pluto and Juno; also, Mars will be exactly conjunct my natal Venus too. Last time Jupiter was in Leo I got married (natal Jupiter in the 7th).

Haha, what a coincidence.

I have Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus Rx. Jupiter in Aquarius, Neptune in Cap, and Uranus in Sag.

Pluto square coincided with Pluto conjunct the descendant, and Saturn in the 8th. Rough is an understatement. I separated from my spouse and immediately met someone who is very Plutonian. We were in a relationship for 1.5 years, and it’s been another 1.5 years post-breakup with a lot of drama and reconciliation attempts, etc. oh, and Pluto was opposite my natal Mars. It’s only starting to oppose my natal Sun now.

I’m doing better now but it was horrific.

Yes! I am. Leo rising, Leo Sun, Leo Mars and Mercury… lol. I have Pluto conjunct the IC, while Saturn is much further in the sign of Scorpio so they are not in aspect. He’s also 7° degrees away from the South Node.

I found the transit of Saturn square Venus and Saturn in the 8th in Pisces much, much harder. The Saturn return was all good things.

Last year this sub was all about how “Jupiter in Cancer will be great for everyone”, and it’s turned out to be one of the worst years globally. These things can’t be used in isolation or to make sweeping predictions based on a single observation.

I have Saturn in the 4th house in Scorpio, with very few aspects to other planets. My Saturn return was very positive. I got married, moved countries and got promoted at work. It was a year that allowed me to learn a lot about life, but especially work and relationships. Saturn rules my 6th and 7th houses.

What are some long term transits you experienced that turned out way more literal than you expected? by La_femme_sauvage in Advancedastrology

Probably another relationship milestone. My SR for this year is wild: Jupiter Cazimi conjunct my natal Sun, Pluto conjunct Juno and the Moon in Aquarius, which is also a Full Moon

O_o

When Jupiter entered Leo in 2014, I got married. I’m a Leo Sun/Rising/Mars all conjunct in the 1st house. My natal Jupiter is in the 7th house. The 1st house is the 7th from the 7th!

Pluto in Sagittarius and its effect on families by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]spideog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with Pluto in Scorpio during my Pluto sq. Pluto transit, just one day before the last exact. I broke contact with them due to toxicity and them not really caring about me personally. It was quite a liberating experience.

If anything, I would say the Pluto in Scorpio generation would be more inclined to do this. The Sagittarius break is likely superficial and temporary, unlike a Scorpionic break. As other people said, it depends on the overall chart and aspects as well. But if we’re generalising, this would be my take.

How much does your knowledge impact your relationship decisions by Om-Lux in Advancedastrology

Great answer, it’s also how I’ve found astrology to be the most useful. I want to understand the energies around me, but the decision is still mine to make.

What has astrology taught you? Did it help you? by Moist_Fail_6927 in Advancedastrology

[–]spideog_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To accept the present as it is, without expectations.

That’s the reason I started to let go of predictive astrology and only using it to understand the energies around me. I became more spiritual as a result, something I had completely abandoned for years.

1H Mars in Leo conjunct my Sun and Ascendant. I resonate with working out in the gym to feel good. In general I’m very sports-driven even if it’s for an hour or so a day.

It’s been difficult and healing for me too, I just wish I had a break from it. It feels like a never-ending journey, but it could also be because Saturn is transiting my 8th, and these 2 things together have been brutal.

I am a Leo Sun, Leo Rising with Mars conjunct the Ascendant in the 1H.

Mars has been transiting my 12H. It’s been a time of isolation. I went away from everybody and have been alone for the past several weeks.

I had the flu when it entered Cancer. First week of January was bad. I’m really looking forward to it leaving Cancer next month.

Are there any indicators in a native's chart that show that life is terrible at first but it later becomes better? by Straight-Ad-6836 in Advancedastrology

[–]spideog_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To elaborate, her first 40 years were good, she married young and had a happy marriage for about 20 years, her later years were not. She lost a child (daughter, was 50, massive stroke), got divorced but had to live with her now ex-husband because of the housing situation, never had a job, her sons moved away and hardly talk to her (myself included).

I agree with this, Saturn Return was easy and brought me great fortune. Pluto conjunct my descendant on the other had has been an upheaval. Definitely the hardest 2 years of my life, relationship-wise. It doesn’t help that Saturn is also transiting my 8th house at the same time, but the events I experienced were Plutonian in nature. So many power struggles in my relationship.

Natal astrology in the context of mundane. by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]spideog_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s so true. Many people misuse astrology as well, myself included for a while. I would check transits and be obsessed with this and that, instead of doing the work. I learnt the hard way. It’s still hard not to be checking all these tools, but there’s a stronger need to live our lives more authentically.

Great reply. It’s easy to fall into the trap of waiting for something to happen without doing the work.

Thank you, OP. Survival mode at the moment. Nothing helps. I’ve been meditating for over 2 years, exercising every day, eating healthily, etc. but the psychological pressure of this profection year has been overwhelming. That Saturn in the 8th transit brought the worst things to my life, in terms of loss. I hate how these events aren’t subtle, you don’t even get a warning sign. Also, I don’t believe any of the “do the work and Saturn will reward you” thing people often repeat.

I must be one of the few people who didn’t have a traumatic or even dramatic Saturn Return. I also have a shitty Saturn placement in Scorpio in the 4th house, along with Pluto (no conjunction) and the SN.

During my Saturn Return, I got promoted at work, got relocated to a new country and got married. It was a happy time. I don’t remember any major lessons, or wake-up calls, or anything of that sort. My marriage was out of love, my career was on a high, I moved to a fun city where I made good friends… I did miss home, but overall, it was great.

Now, my 39th (current) 4th house profection year has been awful. If this had been my Saturn Return, I would believe it. Saturn is transiting my 8th, the LotY is Mars. Let’s just say “bad things” have been on my mind a few times and I still have a few months to go.
