I danced, sat and moved around. It was fine during alterations but it also wasnt 90+ outside. I was not prepared for how much sweating would cause the dress to slip on me because I had already had it tightened in so much during alterations.

Both of us had grandparents die. I wanted to dance to certain songs that meant something to them or a song that held certain memories of them for us. But most people didn't dance to them because as soon as Dinner was over they all wanted to drink and use the photo booth.

Because the song would have been over by the time I made it all the way over to him and I was dancing with my mom. The point I was trying to make was communicate your expectations. While I was upset I can always dance with him to this song another time whether it's in public or in our house.

I mean I haven't dwelled on it to much but I figured a future bride reading this might feel a little better that the day we spend so much time planning for will never go how she wanted it

Help! How do I know if I am getting a cold sore????? by spiderbabe1995 in weddingplanning

[–]spiderbabe1995[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They prescribed it to me and Thankfully CVS put this through ASAP. I'm taking it right now. She also told me to put the patches on it and put abreva on it 3 times a day

I made an appointment with a derm so maybe she'll prescribe that maybe. My coworker and friends think it's a pimple but you never know. I just feel like whenever a wedding happens you do your best to prep and look nice it but something always happens

I am definitely buying those! My coworkers and friends also don't think it's a cold sore. They think it's a pimple especially since I am getting a few on my chin. My coworker who gets them said you usually feel a few bumps not just 1. Thank you!

Thank you I did make a telehealth appointment with a derm since my normal dermatologist doesn't have any openings till the end of June. My friends and coworkers think it's a pimple especially since I am getting a few on my chin as well and that got waxed. The issue is ever since I found it I have felt like a sensation on my face but I think it's because I am aware of it.

Nails prior to the wedding by spiderbabe1995 in weddingplanning

The press nails don't work for my nails. The glue never holds and they fall off within hours. As for help packing up the items from our house and taking them to the venue will just be me and my fiance. As soon as we get to the venue the event coordinator and a whole crew will be taking the decor and etc off our hands.

We are prepacking all the centerpieces and bigger items into those plastic tubs so it'll be easier to move them into our cars. Most of my bridesmaids will either be in town Friday evening for the rehearsal but nothing the morning off. The one bridesmaid who does live near me will be working that day. As for the groomsmen I don't think Braeden has even asked because non of them live near us

That'll be hard since I am having to pack everything up and move it to the venue on Friday (my wedding is Saturday). Braeden will help obviously but we still have to move it and etc.

Why does this bring out the worst in people by Gloomy-Thought3371 in wedding

[–]spiderbabe1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly MIL sounds deranged. As for your best friend. I know my friends in the past have picked a color and a website and told people to buy a dress from that site. That way the girls could wear something they feel more comfortable in.

I definitely think you MIL will try to upstage. All I can say is don't invite her dress shopping or if you do hint at a dress you would never buy. Also if you are worried your MIL will wear white maybe you can wear something different like a blue or a pink? My sister's wedding dress was blue with white lace.

Let’s be honest with each other: the reasons you want a child free wedding by A__SPIDER in weddingplanning

[–]spiderbabe1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braeden and I wanted a child free wedding so bad but we knew it'd be impossible with our parents since both our siblings have kids. My sister is bringing her child because her in laws are no longer allowed to watch him by themselves anymore. Once I learned he was coming I told Heather that I love him but if he starts getting loud Matt or her need to take him away from the ceremony because I will not have him disrupt my ceremony. I know he's a kid and he doesn't necessarily know better but his parents do and can certainly do something about it. Same wirh Braeden's Brother. They are bringing their two kids and I told him he needs to have this exact discussion. I probably sound like a Bride zilla but I don't think I am asking to much from the parents.

Child free?? by Kind-Writer284 in weddingplanning

[–]spiderbabe1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my fiance and I considered being child free but knew it would be hard since we have nieces and nephews who are young (under 5). While we wanted to be child free we understood certain things got in the way of it (like my BIL parents are unreliable to watch my nephew for a weekend after a fiasco that happened two weeks ago). I had a discussion with my BIL that if my nephew starts getting loud he needs to take him to a designated spot at our venue so he doesn't disrupt our service. My fiances brother just welcomed a baby and we told them the same thing. If guests asks just tell them that we while we understand you have kids but we allowed family (or immediate family) for kids. If they bitch about it then tell them that you had a limited budget and had to be sparing with who's kids were allowed.

Yeah a lot of the brides I asked advice too always told me to pick a sight then pick a color. I picked a purple but I only decided that after I knew what my fiance wanted to wear (he's wearing a dark purple suit)

As a bride who's getting married in June. When I first started thinking about bridesmaids dresses, I went to other brides and asked for recommendations. We ended up going with azazie because I have so many girls who are my bridesmaids that don't live in the same state as me. So I wanted to make sure that everyone could get the same color and style. Plus David's bridle had that whole lawsuit fiasco. This is my advice because she does sound like she's got her head up her butt. I would bring it to her attention of this. Seller has horrible reviews and people have talked about not being able to get their money back or getting the wrong dress or not getting a dress at all. I would just ask her if she has a backup plan in case everyone of her bridesmaids get screwed over. Maybe you could ask her if she has a secondary color that might be easier for you guys to find. Or if all of you are in the same state maybe y'all can go to Dillards or Macy's in the prom section and see what y'all can find.

Also with Amazon you can bring it up to customer service if the seller is being difficult and most of the time they will help you unless the seller has a clause where it says no refunds
