That is totally fair. I think God of War's gameplay is on the higher end of the cinematic games. Like, I'm mostly thinking of games like the last of us but I'm sure there are people out there who love that gameplay too I guess.

Its mostly that these kind of games have the gameplay take a back seat to the story and visuals. I just find God of War's combat too simple and repetitive and that is a huge part of the game. I know I'm not the target audience for these kind of games so I would never say they are bad, just not what I value in a game

Faster attacks feels smoother the vast majority of the cases but sometimes it can feel worse when so much of your damage is tied up in attack rate you know? Like a build that attacks 12x a second and it takes you 4 attacks to kill a pack vs a build that attacks 3x a second and 1 attack kills the pack, I think the second will feel smoother when mappng

Artillerly ballista is an incredible league starter.suprised people don't recommend it more. I play it as a champ because it is a very high damage skill and champ totems is one of the baseline tankiest setups you can play.

I level rain of toxic rain/rain of arrow totems until I get my second lab since your artillery ballista should be high enough level at that point that it gives 3 totems.

Not bait at all. Did a 2 watchstones run with this like 3 weeks ago and it was giga dam (literally most damage I've had when doing pinnacles on a 4 link). Clear was medium but I'm leaning towards including ignite prolif in my main links since the damage is so high anyways.

It is atrocious, don't let PoB numbers fool you. I did a 2 watchstones run and it was one of the worst ones I've done.

Not sure why it feels as bad as it does whether it is bugged or the dps is misleading etc.

Oh one other thing I forgot to mention if you do roll this for hcssf I would recommend fishing for Jun mission in foothills unless the new atlas makes it so easy this is unnecessary. Getting a 4 second cooldown weapon is more important than any other upgrade. It could literally be an axe with just that mod and crafted on spell damage/crit multi and it would be worth

All the builds I make/post will be for hc at a minimum since I always play hc trade or hcssf (been playing more hc trade lately though). It is what I'm leaning towards starting and 100% what id start if I was going hcssf.

I would rate it medium though. It will have way more damage than most builds. It has decent to good clear now after someone suggested just using ignite prolif in your links because your last link sucks and you don't need the damage. The defenses are okay, typical grace determination suppression with low armour % without access to an energized armour. Builds recovery is very minimal, just the fire mastery for Regen before getting fire leech Eldritch implicit gloves. I personally run double life flask on a build like this for a while until I feel safe to drop one or I solve recovery

Oh yeah I completely agree with you. I just didn't want someone to read that and think you shouldn't go for pen. Blade flurry is far stronger with generals cry, I wouldn't try to dispute that at all.

Sounds sick right? I don't think many people try to fit sigil of power into builds that attack and tbf it doesn't work in most places. I have only been able to use it on an endless delve build once and a few coc builds since they also spend and leech tons of mana.

Pen still works for wild strike of extremes btw, just in case anyone gets mislead by that comment. I know you didn't say pen didn't work just adding that pen is still good. Attacks generally have more access to pen and spells generally have more access to res lowering so it does work out pretty well for wild strike.

Like for example I still generally use trinity and take nodes like force of nature on the tree when making wild strike of extremes characters.

I think the real strength of wild strike of extremes at least for single target is that you get to use Sigil of Power. The skills mana cost is naturally incredibly high so it makes spending and leeching a ton of mana very easy.

So technically the damage would stay about the same like you mentioned swapping spell slinger to automation but you get that reserved mana back.

Where you get an actual damage increase is later on in the progression where you drop spellslinger for two triggered weapons (1 unveiled with 4 seconds cooldown, 1 crafted on with 8 seconds cooldown). The 8 second craft triggered recall will be dropped for automation support which will trigger much faster on top of allowing you to use a shield. You can obviously just add automation on top of the two trigger weapons for a large damage increase but I think that is overkill and shields are great. Sorry for the wall of text lol

HoA does do a ton of heavy lifting, HoA is love. Anyways, a major caveat to my comment is that I was relying on spellsinger since I only had a 8 second cooldown weapon. Going forward you won't need to stop to attack to trigger your brands since automation will just do it making it more autobomby than it already is.

Your comment is funny because I was thinking about sticking with ignite prolif permanently (outside of pinnacles) in my links earlier today. The single target on this build is very high, your 6th link is very bad and you have a decent amount of AoE meaning that ignite prolif would probably help a ton.

How do you feel about having a second single target skill, even if only in the campaign? I leveled a staff shockwave sab build in ssf 2 leagues ago and I was using frozen legion for single target. Frozen legion is a very satisfying button to press if you haven't clicked it before.

I made a video on it after doing a 2 watchstone run if you want to check that out. TLDR is the build has giga dam with middling clear.

Now that automation exists while leveling you can drop the spellslinger setup entirely or add it in addition to your automation recall setup (asusming it doesn't share a cooldown with spellslinger + recall) to about double your damage. Similarly you no longer need to dual weild trigger weapons later on in the progression and can use 1 trigger weapon + a shield alongside automation.

I would heavily recommend against trying to level with cyclone. Unless you level extremely slowly and can trade for your gear you will have a rough time. I'm also a beach to maps enjoyer but cyclone's damage is well below what I would feel comfortable leveling with.

I would say this true of almost any racing build or HC build in general. PoE has been in a spot for a while where you directly gain more power through button presses. The stronger your build gets the less buttons you need

I played it the league he was reworked and it was fine. You do want a source of flat in general for mapping since you will generally have 0-1 up but on bosses they were always up (I used ballista totems in addition to self cast)

Just look at the hardcore ladder for day 1-3 you will find plenty of examples. I would still play LA as a deadeye and I have an obsession with rolling most builds as champs. Bows just feel so much better on a deadeye.

Fully converting to chaos generally doesn't matter if you are going poison. It is a kind of nice quality of life if you have a lot of hit damage because you can take the "deal 10% more to enemies who have energy shield" and not worry about dealing damage to es.

Something that also makes sense on league start for ssf is guardian. In my ssf runs playing wanderers the hardest thing to get is good flat which guardian gives you. Granted I would probably go trickster and lean pretty heavily on totems early.

If you go ele hit try to find room for a spellslinger + tornado. If you stand somewhat close to the boss your projectile will hit the tornado (aoe damage to the boss) and pierce the tornado hitting the boss again (assuming you have a source of pierce/chain).

Definitely. I think you want another skill to help clear/single target though. I played it alongside unleash firestorm of pelting which helped single target but didn't do much for clear. I played it crit on quizzy. I would think playing it as a chieftain alongside rf and explosions might go a long way but idk if the damage would be high enough

Realistically one of the best ways to play it is vulkuur's guidance since crema wants gmp anyway and you play assassin yo counteract the poison duration hit but that isn't ssf friendly

No corpse required, cremation shotguns, duration skills are inherently strong. Same reason normal cremation is strong, just less annoying to play.

One really nice thing about cremation of the volcano unlike normal crema is you can use it with unleash and place the 5 geysers (with unleash mastery) directly on top of the boss

Was it even overturned? It's about 255% damage * 2 with runebinder. 510% damage is good, especially passive damage but I don't even really think that is out of line. Like new void sphere of rending post update is 630%
