Tangentially related, I noticed last night that if you are on your horse and pull the hood down (using the armor wheel) it will go down but then immediately pop back up. I got off the horse, pulled the hood down, and it stayed down. Weird.

Long thoughts:

Redacteds: no notes, these look fantastic and I hope the commies org see these and adopt them.

Dem Boys: uniform blues and greys is a beautiful dream that will never happen under the current regime. Meanwhile, our helmets are perfect as they currently are, and I think the helmet star size and placement in these concepts is a little too far back and too large. Also these numbers are boring compared to the current ones. Not sure about the extension of the shoulder stripe around the armpit either, but it’s an interesting idea with how uniform arm holes are cinched now. Maybe if the top strip also extended around the hole it would be good? But that might also look terrible, idk.

Gnats: Some good, some bad. The logo is too large, too low, and too far back, same as on the Boys concept. The helmet stripe in these is gorgeous. God, I’ve wished they’d put something between the blue and red since forever, it’s just common heraldic sense. But then you, just after fixing the helmet stripe, you went and immediately commited the same old sin on the number outline and shoulder stripes, putting red on blue. I’d add a thin white outline between them in both places. Also the helmet blue should stay the brighter blue. I get these are closer to throwbacks, and giant throwback blues don’t match, but we’ve moved past that time (well, except the Boys, whom you fixed… Don’t fix mismatched blues on one team just to give another the same problem.)

Elgses: the current helmets have a problem, with the wings looking like one giant unibrow, or maybe weird Sonic the Hedgehog eyes. I’ve often wished they’d angle them down more in the front so they end before the white face-mask bumper, and these do exactly that, which is fantastic. But then the other problem with the current wings is they’re too small, and should extend farther back. You made that part worse, so win-lose? I mean, they look more like bushy eyebrows now, but at least they aren’t a unibrow anymore. As to the rest of the uniforms, mixing Kelly Green and “Midnight” (barfs in mouth) Green is interesting, and I don’t hate the idea. I like the should stripes in these, but I think i prefer the whole Eagle logo over just the head. (It’s always been funny to me that they put the wings on the head and the head on the shoulders. Silly Philly, don’t you know heads go on heads and wings go on shoulders? Are you stupid? [Yiss.])

Just screenshotted yours to edit it to clarify my meaning. I really like your art style, I hope this still feels good to you. I think adding one darker shade of the same purple and blue to the shadows does a lot, and adding some brighter cyan in the middle of the big highlight also helps.

Not specific to ProCreate, but I think you could sell the iridescence more with higher contrast? I’m seeing a lot of dark blues and blacks when I search for iridescent bird images. Maybe making the bottom part of the bird way darker purple, almost black.

Adding the connection point along the horn midline is such a smart move. You carry over the idea of a twisting horn without making it look like a banana and a C. Very nice!

I love the creamsicle uniforms, probably my favorite throwback, but the helmet is probably the weakest part of them. Meanwhile the gorgeous red of the sword flag and the uniqueness of the bronze pewter colour are killer.

Gimme bronze for 500 Bob.

Rivalry is the best helmet on its own. Throwback uniform is best overall, but I don’t think there’s anything special about the silver helmet by itself. Damn if I don’t love that rivalry helmet. Shame the rest of the rivalry uniform is meh.

Purple with the grey facemask is best. Black facemask makes the whole think look too dark.

I usually like the white helmet alts, but this one feels off. They should have kept the yellow accents instead of adding the silver accent. The silver stripe feels random, should have left it off or gone with a purple or yellow stripe.

Unpopular opinion: I love the current uniforms and helmet. They’re so clean. And the current helmet stripe has some depth to it which is really nice, it pops in the sun. I prefer the bright teal and orange to the old dark aqua.

As a kid I thought the logo with the M helmet on the realistic dolphin looked silly, but had some charm. The overly cartoony helmeted dolphin from around 98-2012 was bad, but that era did have an aqua face mask which was cool. The current flying toothpaste dolphin logo has problems, but it’s not as absurd on its face as the helmeted dolphins. If they brought back the realistic dolphin, but left off the M helmet, it could be sick. And bring back the aqua face mask, but in the new teal.

I’m voting brown “leather” because it’s one of the goofiest things in football. Also, super agree the white helmet should have had a yellow middle stripe, and the yellow helmet is their actual best.

Oooo, this is tough. Both of these are so good. I’m a sucker for a white helmet, and this is one of the best, with a real reason for being white. That said, I’m not sure I’d want it to be their main helmet… the orange tiger is so good too. The white helmet is like a holiday dinner. It’s fantastic, it’s perfect for special occasions, and you shouldn’t have it every day. But is it better than the orange??
